Reviews 100
We love our solar panel system! We researched numerous companies and were most impressed with Lifetime Solar. From Toms explanation of the system and financing to Johnathan keeping us informed of the scheduling, to the installation and performance of our solar panels. The staff and technicians were always polite, respectful, and willing to explain anything that we had questions about, and Ryan checking with us after the installation to make sure that everything went smoothly. We couldn't be happier!
Installation was great but it failed evergy inspection. Supposedly passed but still haven't got our meter to even use them to know if they work. Had Installation in early March it is now early July and still can't use them. I would also note if you're reading the reviews it's all about installation I've only seen 1 review were they talked about the system working!
2/10/2026: 4.5 Stars My system went live in September and has operated since without any major issues. I am excited to see what it produces in the summer months. I was recently contacted by Tony to discuss my experience with Lifetime and to ensure that my system is operating in line with expectations. Between then and now, there seems to have been major operational improvements at Lifetime which reflect that this is a company who takes pride not only in their product, but the satisfaction of their customers. Tony offered real solutions to the issues previously encountered and I left the conversation with confidence that I can trust I made the right choice doing business with Lifetime. 8/13/2025: Two Stars Positive update: we received our electrical panel upgrade today and I am satisfied with the end result. The crew was informative of what was going on, friendly, and efficient. Thank you to Keith for being in touch this week and for being available to answer any of my questions. Reason for rating: After leaving a review on 7/7 (see below), Lifetime has made an effort to right the issues. Communication has been slightly better, however, I still had to reach out frequently and received varying status updates depending on who I spoke with. 7/7/2025: 0 stars due to lack of project management, and terrible communication. I hate to leave a negative review but have been repeatedly lied to by this company and can no longer get ahold of anyone. My experience with Lifetime started out great. We had planned to purchase solar panels from another installer, only to find out that the system in the contract was not what the salesman had promised. Luckily (or we thought), we were connected with Lifetime who offered a better system at a lower cost. Not only that, but they promised to have the system live in a timely manner. In addition to the solar panels, we signed on for a full tier panel upgrade to replace the breaker box in our home which is original from the 1950s. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call within a few days of signing the contract to schedule installation of the panels. Unfortunately, everything started to go downhill from there. The contract suggested that I would receive a professionally engineered set of blueprint CAD designs, but these never came. When the crew showed up on the scheduled installation day, I asked a few different individuals from the installation team for the blueprints and received a drawing on a piece of cardboard only after they had started drilling into my roof. Given that the project engineer seemed knowledgeable and I already had holes in my roof, I reluctantly signed and allowed the installation to be completed. The crew was friendly, efficient, and cleaned up well once the job was complete. When they left, I was told to expect my breaker upgrade within the next few weeks. This was in April, and we are now in July. Any time I have attempted to contact Lifetime since, I am either sent to voicemail with no return call or am told that the holdup is with the utility company who doesn't have availability to shut our power off for the breaker upgrade. However, last week I spoke with Evergy and they confirmed that they approved the design and interconnection request on May 5 (Three weeks after the panels were installed on my roof) but have not been contacted to complete the post inspection, nor to shut our power down for the breaker upgrade. Evergy further confirmed that their policy is to have such requests fulfilled within 30 days max, but typically can do so in 10 business days.
I worked with their salesman Tony who was great. After that point it is impossible to communicate with the company. They do not answer their phone. They do not return voicemails. I was told this would take over a month. We are now 2 months in and I can't get a hold of anybody. It feels like every step of the process is 2 weeks apart. On two or three occasions I was told to be home for something and then no one showed up. Very frustrating.
The company put the solar panels on our house and they are fine. When we first started we Docusigned a loan with one bank then the company told us they were transferring the loan to a different bank so we should Docusign with this new bank. We did this as they said. Now we have 2 loans and we have been informing them that they lied about transferring the loan. We have contacted them for several months and were always reassured that the first loan would be satisfied but NO IT HASN’T. They are almost impossible to contact now. I do not recommend them and we feel like we got scammed.
Wanted to take some time to thank the installation team at lifetime solar for delivering and installing my new meters and panels all in the same day. I have wanted solar for so long but was not able to obtain it because my roof needed structural repair. Kyle Beath from Elevate Solar company connected me with Matt Priester of TAG roofing. To make a long story short, I got a new roof and new solar panels within the span of four days.
⭐☆☆☆☆ I never imagined that buying solar would turn into one of the most stressful experiences I've ever been through. What started as an exciting investment has turned into more than a year of broken promises, delays, poor communication, and constant frustration. When I first reported an issue with my system, it took over four months for Lifetime Solar to even come out and inspect it. At this point I hadn't been shown how to monitor the system or the app or anything. I just knew I had seen only a 20 dollar decrease in my bills, roughly. During that time, the damage continued to worsen while I waited for help. When they finally responded, I was told the affected portions of my system would be repaired. Instead, multiple panels were removed from my roof with the promise they would be replaced. Months later, my system still has not been restored. What I still don't understand is why working panels were removed in the first place. If the issue was limited to critter damage and wiring, why wasn't the repair limited to those components? After the panels were removed and left on my property, I discovered that at least one panel is now broken. I have not touched, moved, or handled the remaining panels since they were left there. I've since spoken with other solar companies, and more than one has told me the wiring damage appeared to be repairable. As a homeowner, I had no idea that trees close to my home could create a risk for critter damage. Lifetime Solar inspected my property before installation, yet I was never advised this could become an issue or given recommendations to help prevent it. Had I known, I would have taken steps to protect my investment. The communication has been just as frustrating as the repairs. There have been periods where my calls and messages went unanswered for weeks, and sometimes months, leaving me with no updates and no idea when or if someone would show up. When I did receive responses, I was often given another promise or another date that ultimately came and went without resolution. While all of this has been happening, I've continued making payments on my EnFin solar loan while also paying higher electric bills because my system is not producing what it should. I've rearranged my work schedule, taken time away from work, and repeatedly stayed home waiting for appointments that were postponed, rescheduled, or never happened. One of the most concerning moments throughout this process was being told that my warranty could be voided if I left a negative review. If that is in fact the company's position, I believe consumers should know about it. My understanding is that the federal Consumer Review Fairness Act was enacted to protect consumers' ability to leave honest reviews about their experiences without being penalized through standard form contracts. Regardless of the legal implications, no customer should feel pressured to stay silent out of fear of losing warranty protection. I didn't want a refund or a fight—I simply wanted the solar system I paid for and the service I was promised. Instead, I've spent the last year chasing answers while carrying the financial burden of a system that remains unresolved. I sincerely hope Lifetime Solar chooses to make this right. If they do, I will gladly update this review. Until then, I believe other homeowners deserve to know about my experience so they can make an informed decision. In the meantime Helio GreenTech seems to be a great company with MUCH fairer pricing.
Can't Say Anything Bad About Everyone That Was Involved With Our Experience With Getting Our Solar System Installed...Everyone Was Great At Answering All Of Our Questions! The Crew That Installed The System Was Very Professional From Start To Finish!! 👏 They All Take Pride In Their Jobs & Workmanship!! Great Job To One & All!!! AN A+!!
Everything about the experience was spot on. Communication was excellent. Pallet was delivered on time, crew showed up when they said they would, installation was professional, the electrician was VERY skilled, and the system is awesome. Highly recommended!
Today we begin net metering with Ameren, our local electrical company. I just wanted to provide some information about the installation and activation process. We began speaking with Kyle Beath, our salesman, in mid-october of 2025 about installing solar panels on our roof. The panels were delivered on November 3rd and installed the very next day. It took about 5 weeks for Ameren to review and approve the Lifetime Solar plan. From my first interaction and all through the project, Kyle stayed on top of the progress. Anytime I would call, he would pick up the phone. Anytime. I would text or email, he would usually respond immediately or at least within a few minutes. Kyle was very knowledgeable about solar and the process. When I had a question, and I had countless questions, he had answers. If he didn't know the answer, he would tell me and find the answer. He stayed in constant contact with Drew, the Lifetime Solar project manager, keeping everyone in the loop. His excellent and timely communication was a big selling point in the process. Getting approval for the plan and activation of the net metering was the slowest part of this project. Anything to do with Kyle and Lifetime Solar panel installation was fast and straightforward. If you're looking for someone you can trust, call Kyle Beath.
