Genesee Energy repaired our furnace earlier this month and the service was outstanding! Toan was courteous, efficient and it was fixed promptly. He explained it all thoroughly (turns out changing the filter on a schedule is not just a recommendation lol) and the charge was reasonable. The new thermostat he installed has been great as well! Thank you Genesee!
Over 5 years of solid service and recycled bioheat fuel auto-deliveries for our home oil furnace. The value service plan is worth it for annual tune-up and service calls if you have any minor hiccups throughout the year, like clogged nozzles which are common with our bioheat fuel. Technicians are always timely and professional, and it's very easy to get through to a helpful human when calling customer service.
I have an oil furnace that is serviced by and supplied oil by Genesee Energy. The furnace stopped working this past week and I called Genesee for assistance. It was extremely cold very late in the afternoon that day and Josie Lewis answered the phone when I called. She was extremely helpful, kind, empathetic and knowledgeable and quickly provided assistance. She was able to locate a technician who could assist and in less than an hour, Dan Grantham, was at the house and masterfully figured out what was wrong. He even had the part needed to get the furnace working again in his vehicle and was able to get the furnace working on the spot! I just can't thank both of them enough for their amazing customer service and quick assistance on such a cold day! I am a very thankful and satisfied (20+ year) Genesee customer and it's this kind of service that will keep me a Genesee customer for another 20 years. Most Sincerely, Tim Walter

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Genesee Energy! I have my heating fuel setup on auto delivery so I don't have to worry about running out of heating oil, and for 5+ year they haven't me! When I call to pay my bills. the girl's in the office are always friendly, courteous, and professional. The drivers are great too! Professional & efficient, I usually don't know that I've had a fuel oil delivery until I see the invoice in my email or hand on my door.
April 2026. Called one week ago to postpone my automatic oil delivery until Fall to avoid today's high prices. My 2 tanks were half full. Was told they would put a temporary hold on my two accounts until then.Woke up this morning with receipts for tanks filled at $7.13 per gallon. Very disappointed with their internal communication or lack of it. UPDATED 2/28/26 Sales Manager at Genesee Fuel called me and provided an equitable solution to the issue. I have been a customer 35 years and he showed exceptional customer service. Thank you Andy.
My mother's furnace stopped working and we were in a bit of a panic, but Genesee Energy came through with same-day service. The technician, John, was extremely pleasant, professional, and courteous throughout the visit. It was clear he knew exactly what he was doing—he quickly diagnosed the issue and had it resolved in no time. I truly appreciated the prompt and reliable service, especially in a stressful situation.
