I don’t know what kind of scam they are running, but I’ve reported them to our bank and credit card company and I’m compiling receipts to report them to the FTC. This is the 3rd time I’ve dealt with this company trying to steal money from me and my fiancé in the past 6 months. We live in Michigan and have gotten fraud alerts from this store in particular trying to charge our cards at the fuel center. The first 2 times, my card was locked, so the transactions were blocked. Unfortunately, someone was able to charge my fiancé’s credit card for almost $180 this past weekend. They also tried to charge my mom a couple years ago, but thankfully that transaction was blocked too. Typically I wouldn’t blame the company for fraud because that falls on the criminal. However, I find it VERY suspicious that every fraud attempt we get is from this FredMeyer fuel center on the other side of the country. I’m tired of ordering new cards and having the fraud department reach out to me for suspicious activity at this store.
Surprisingly always a fast check out even when the parking lot is over flowing. Fresh produce like always and great deals especially the weekly ad!
Neat retro signage on this Fred Meyer location. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. The only issue I ran into here was with finding the curbside pickup area. If you miss the first entrance, you need to go around the block to find it.
I used their pharmacy to get my medication because the store i usually go to was out of them for 2 months in a row.I was surprised that it was as simple as a phone call and the customer service was great 👍 also!
Fred Meyer regularly has some of the worst overall and often rotten produce. You really should go anywhere else than Fred's. Good for other stuff, bad for produce. Sorry, sometimes the truth hurts.
Excellent cheese and hummus selections. It's also a very clean and tidy grocery chain. The staff seems nice too plus they have good deals and sale prices.
This is specifically regarding the Burlingame Fred Meyer location. It's walking distance to my home, clean and friendly. But this older location (and I love the antique sign in front) is smaller than most other locations and often doesn't have products that the larger locations do. Sometimes this means I need to travel a second time to another FM store a few miles away. Most of the time it's fine; you get used to finding what this one runs out of. I don't use the pharmacy here, because the lines are LONG, and when I did use it, they often didn't carry or were all out of my prescription meds.
Great selection. The Boar's Head deli had 3 workers (2 more than most grocery store delis). I got my meat and cheese quickly.
Customer service desk guy has super creepy vibes. He insisted I let him hold my license and debit card, which I refused to allow, so he refused to sell me a money order. I had shown him both cards where he could easily confirm they were both mine, but he kept trying to grab them from me. The reason the credit card machine is on the customer side is because, about 35 years ago, the credit card industry decided that it was safer to not hand your card to any bozo who happens to be behind the register. But this guy has decided he knows better. Or maybe he's just stealing people's card numbers as a side hustle. In any case, his behavior was very creepy, and I won't be back. Bye.
I came to this location 10 minutes before close on Friday 02/27 for one item and found the doors locked. A sweaty red faced security guard (who appears to be on drugs or something) told me they closed 10 minutes before close because on their website it says “hours may vary.” I checked their website, it doesn’t say that anywhere. I also work retail and can’t understand why they would close the store 10 minutes early. Even the customers who were exiting with their groceries looked appalled. I guess I won’t be back to this location. I would love to speak to a manager about this if management is available.
