This Fred Meyer has sooo much good stuff. Super large store with more than what you thought you could be looking for. Great security and staff. Thanks for always being a place I like to shop.
Fred Meyer is in general pretty good. There’s a lot of variety, etc. The only place that it falls short as price. If you drive up the hill to Safeway. You’re going to save money. a grocery bill of $100 at Fred Meyer’s is probably gonna run you closer to 80 or 70 at Safeway. I don’t really shop there that often, only for those specialty things.
A better Fred Myers than most. Better workers and Management than the one by me. Much better produce. Variety, quality and quantity. Customer service wait times can be 0 to 5-10 minutes. The Fred Meyers by where I live wait times can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes or more to see someone in customer service. More parking, restrooms and less stressed area give this Fred Meyers 5 stars.
I brought a wine back because it smelled like chemicals and gasoline. There was something obviously seriously wrong with it. They did not care one bit.
You’ll probably find what’s on your list there, somewhere amongst the weirdly divided layout of home goods, and groceries. The employees try their Kroger best to not always outwardly show a general unhappiness.
Huge. Easy parking. Great space between Isles, better prices than Safeway.
Hey! These folks have heard from us! Nice to know that a location weighs comments...good/bad and is interested in supplying the customer with a decent experience. You'll still find ne'er do wells, but they seem to mainly just pass through. As of 6/29/24 I see little or no camps close by. Less hassle to the bottle collection people.
I am surprised at some of the negative reviews here. Have been shopping at this location for a few years. Used to shop at a Fred Meyer in Bend, Vancouver and downtown Portland regularly in the past. All of them have been very good but I think this location is the best. Yes, parking is slightly challenging at times but not bad. The Safeway and Albertsons nearby always have empty parking lots, probably because everyone knows Freddie’s is better! Bakery did a great custom cake for me recently. The cashiers are always very fast and friendly. I can’t think of a single negative experience over all the years I have shopped here and at other Fred Meyer locations.
I'm from Florida and I wanted to experience a Fred Myers. I shopped for pillows although it was very limited I bought two. At the checkout the person scanning my purchases was very nasty. I asked him how I would get to the garage, he said at the exit sign. I looked up and asked him , the exit behind you or in front of you. He said why don't you find out! I said I'm not from here. At that point a nice lady with a blue top came over and told me which way to go. This happened 30 minutes ago o today 2/15/2024. A young person should not be working there if he's going to be so nasty!!!!
Very first time in Portland and very first time in this grocery, rude cashier Toni acted like she had ZERO customer service skills, hardly anyone goes to work because they want to including myself but I’m not rude to other ppl in my field. Stoic and flat, ZERO greeting, I had to greet her and ask questions like I work there. I had to bite my tongue so hard, Toni needs training or another job
