Estimate and installation went smoothly. I would use again however I’m removing a star because I needed to call in because our thermostat stopped working and was greeted by Hank an AI bot instead of a real human being. EDIT: Changing to five stars because our service tech Erin T was awesome and fully diagnosed some installation issues. Everything works perfectly now.

Doing the estimate for our new furnace, John was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He clearly explained the pros and cons of the different options, and did his best to recommend the most cost-effective one. He was easily the best of the contractors we talked to. Installation was clean, respectful and easy. We are enjoying our new Trane furnace! We also had Evergreen service our AC, and they did a thorough, careful job and recommended some useful upgrades.

Your technician Tim was exemplary. He arrived on time and checked our 4-unit HVAC system inside and out. He confirmed through detailed checkpoints all was working properly. He provided an extensive tutorial regarding system operation, something missing since installation over 3 years ago. We are very pleased with our service call.

$3,600 thermostat replacement? Service Manager Brandon not returning calls. Evergreen installed our furnace and air conditioner about 5 years ago. Our air conditioner stopped working so I called Evergreen for service. I explained that the furnace was working fine but when air conditioning was turned on, the internal fan ran but the outdoor unit failed to engage and no cool air came out. I also told them that I suspected the thermostat was malfunctioning because it kept cutting out and booting back up. The woman that took the call said that she would make a note to be sure there was a thermostat on the truck when the service technician came out. When the technician arrived I explained I thought the issue was the thermostat but there could be a wiring issue because when the new thermostat wires were installed 5 years ago they had left a opening in the ceiling to the attic. We had gotten a mouse infestation and the mice had gotten into the same wall that the thermostat was placed. The technician then started testing lines to the thermostat and somehow managed to short out a line and cause the main circuit board to “blow”. After further testing he also found that the Fan motor had blown out as well. After about 4 hours of work he explained that parts would need to be ordered and we would be without the furnace and air conditioning until they could come back to repair it. He explained Evergreen would pay the cost of the circuit board (invoice isn’t clear if that was done and I argued they should also pay for the fan which was working prior to their service call ). I was charged $617 for labor and given an estimate of approx. $2,100 for the complete job (promised estimate was never e-mailed to me). When the technician returned to complete the repairs I asked about the thermostat again. Technician said there was one in the truck if needed. The new circuit board and motor were installed but the unit still did not work. The technician told me that the transformer and “contractor” were also damaged and needed to be replaced. After about 7 hours of work all of those tasks were completed. The technician then tested the unit and it was acting EXACTLY LIKE what it was when I called it in the first time: The furnace worked but air conditioning didn’t (internal fan still ran but outdoor unit failed to engage, thermostat kept rebooting). The technician then replaced the thermostat and finally everything worked perfectly (if he would have done this originally I think we would have been done. I was then told the additional cost would be $3,029 (plus $617 already paid). I confronted the technician and said it seemed to me that I had just paid $3600 to get my thermostat replaced….that the other damages were done during testing He said no, there was a short that had caused the other damage. I wanted an itemized receipt and he said it would be emailed to me right away (a week later I had to call in order to get a copy that contained no itemized prices). I can’t prove it but I am convinced that the only thing that was wrong with my unit was a bad thermostat The damage to the circuit board, motor, contractor and transformer were the result of the technician causing a short when testing. The technician was very polite but didn’t instill a lot of confidence calling back to the office many times to consult and spending around 12 hours to fix this issue seemed excessive. I believe I just spend $3,645.69 to replace my thermostat. After an email and several calls I finally talked to the Service Manager Brandon. He said he would review and get back to me. After another call he agreed to discuss it with the technician and call me back soon. I have heard nothing despite leaving messages on Brandon’s line.

I wanted to share.how informative and polite Kody Whitsett was during our appointment. He explained the current condition of our heat pump, suggested that we can move the thermostat around the house, or keep it in the wall mount. We went ahead and paid for a few future maintenance appointments as well. We have been extremely happy with Evergreen Home Heating as everyone has been so helpful.

HVAC tech that did both our assessment and our repair was fantastic. It’s easy to find people that can do repairs. I find it more challenging to find people who can troubleshoot quickly and efficiently. Seems to be a lost art. Cody was great at both. He kept me informed, he was extremely polite, technically knowledgeable and did a great job getting to the root cause of the issue. He stayed after 5 to complete the job so our AC was back up this evening. Just overall great service. Can’t say enough good things about Cody’s service. Maybe I am out of touch with HVAC pricing these days or maybe I’m growing weary of the price of everything these days but this repair was not cheap. Plus I don’t know about you, but I don’t have the time to slog through 3 other automated phone attendants and the back and forth voicemails and the scheduling of diagnostics which has its its own fee (x3) to get competitive bids, so that puts me in a position where I think we overpaid but the service was undoubtedly excellent.

2026 Feb update - Mini-Split has been working well since install about a year ago. but a few sounds and system behaviors I wasn't familiar with. Called in, and discovered one winter and one summer servicing were included in install price, as well as 1 year labor (parts much longer depending on model) - so appt was set for about 3 days later. Technician was "Kody" - very pleasant to work with, and gave me a very thorough walk thru of what sounds and actions are normal for my mini-split, and lots of tips on additional self maintenance items I can do - if I wish to. Very helpful, tidy in his work. He did a thorough cleaning of indoor and outdoor units, nothing left behind. Great service tech! 2025 March - Original Install: Short version: Excellent job from start to finish - thanks! Longer version: Installation of a Mitsubishi Mini-Split ('ductless') system in my 1981 home that was previously central gas furnace. Most notably, the installation work by Don and his assistants was done with great care, and very efficiently. Don and his crew knew their task, they had the right tools and attitude, and got right to it. By far the neatest workers I've ever hired for my residence or businesses. The city inspector agreed it was a very well done installation. Honorable mention also due to the sales rep (John) who was very helpful in making sure we got the right equipment, and installed in the right locations, and Denise who was my "in office" super-coordinator for the whole project - from day 1 to the end. A great team effort by everyone. My wife & I love the mini-split. Yes it's a different experience from a central furnace, but the benefits are huge to us. Much less costly to operate as we are only heating the areas we are using, vastly superior temperature control of basement rec room, and we are doing the right thing for environment. Using the remote controls is a bit of a learning curve, but after a few days it all makes sense and works great. Thanks again to Don (and his helpers), Denise and John - you all did a great job.

Called at 11am for my furnace, they arrived around 2:30 pm to solve the pump issue, and charged reasonable. Efficiency communication and convenience payment options. Thank you!

Two separate heat pump installations at two different sites. Same excellent customer service, work quality, and thoroughness. Evergreen has been fantastic, trustworthy, and easy to work with.

I am so happy i found Evergreen. From my first contact with Denise through the completion of the job, they were professional, friendly, polite. No hard sell. Just honest people. Privately owned. No "private equity" or "venture capital" dictating their business. When John M. came out to inspect our house and give us a quote, i was sold that this was the company for us to use. He was so detail oriented and measured everything and did appropriate heat loss calculations and then told us what we needed and didn't just replace what we had, which he said was way too big for our home. Thats where this companies honesty shines. He could have just again oversized our system and probably charged us more, and we wouldn't have known the difference. Evergreen didn't do that. We had a very large job, completely replacing the HVAC system in our multifloor home. When they did the installation, Luis was the lead and he and his team were professional, friendly, neat, respectful.....you cant ask for more. They are hands down a 5 star company and i cant recommend them more highly. You can stop your search, call Evergreen, you will not be disappointed.
