First time customer for a service call. I called based on reviews from the West Seattle Blog. Both of my technicians Will, and Nick (in training) were professional and skilled. I'm one of those people that likes to tinker and Will was comfortable answering my questions. For my service, I thought the pricing was transparent and fair. I recommend and will use them again. Also, it was very easy to schedule. They use an AI schedueler when the office is closed so I had no issues trying to schedule on Sunday for next available appointment when my furnace unexpectedly tried to keel over.

Leaving my honest experience here. I reached out to Evergreen to collect a quote for ductless heating and cooling system replacement. The estimator understood the scope and timeline that I was looking for and proceeded to give me many reasons/excuses on why it would take their company longer to install and that they couldn't match the warranties provided from their competition. All that to say, their quote came in higher and questionable warranty that made me go with a different contractor.

This company relies on AI and is not truly available 24/7. They sent a technician to my home who was unable to fix my issue, yet claimed it had been addressed. I called back immediately, and their AI bot booked me a new appointment that evening. The technician never showed. I called again over the course of the next two days, with no resolution. I received multiples text threads over the course of the two days stating that my concern had been escalated to the "on call manager," who never called. Today I spoke with the company and they said that there is no one in the office over the weekend! Despite my horrible experience, they refused to refund the cost of the "service." Take your business elsewhere!!!

Tristan showed up ontime and did a great job tuning up and cleaning my mitsubishi heat pump system. I like Evergreens annual maintenance plan.

Cody was great. Very knowledgeable and thoroughly described all of my options for repair or replacement of our mini split. He followed up quickly with detailed quotes.

After arriving home after 2 weeks away on a Friday realized I had no heat. I called Evergreen, who had installed my heat pump system less than 5 yrs prior, and they said the soonest they could get someone out was Tue morning. But I could call on the weekend and see if the weekend “on call” person may be able to come out. I called and talked with their AI system, which was worthless, and I was promised a call back either way. To clarify, I asked if they are not able to come I will receive a call, the reply “yes”. No call. Tue morning service technician arrived and begin to troubleshoot. Thinking it would be a simple solution, after an hour I asked what is happening . He said, “I don’t know I need to call my manager”. After 2 hours of checking the system he said the system is out of coolant and provided me an estimate to repair it. I received a bid with 8 lines of vague description of the work to be done, with a list of “quantity 1”, then a total price of $5778. No itemized price for each item, no description from the technician other than the work/bid will look for the leak, repair it, and fill system with coolant. I called Evergreen multiple times that day to get more clarity and specifics about the bid. In total, between Feb 20-26 I had no fewer than 11 calls between myself and Evergreen. The office people were very nice and attempted to be helpful . I asked “how does a system that is less than 5 years old have such a catastrophic failure???” They said the service manager would have to answer that. I asked for a call back from the service manager. I did not receive that call back until Thursday noon. This was my 11th phone conversation with Evergreen. By this time I had been a week without heat!!! Because Evergreen was unable to answer my questions regarding the failure of a new system, the lack of transparency in pricing, lack of specificity of what failed in the system, I no longer had faith in Evergreen. I must admit I choose Evergreen for installation because I was impressed with the individual that did the bid—very professional and very responsive. I even recommended Evergreen to friends. I understand that sometimes in the industry a company may attempt to use new equipment. Not sure if the fittings were considered new at the time of installation, but if it fails I expect Evergreen to stand by the product and the work. Instead the burden was on me, to the tune of $5778!!! Because of all the reasons listed above I sought additional estimates. Another technician was recommended to me, arrived at the house on Thursday morning and within an hour diagnosed the problem and found the leak. It was a faulty fitting, one that is no longer used in the industry because of it’s poor performance. I understand one major supplier no longer distributes this fitting because a pattern of poor performance was repeating itself. Others report it is improper installation that causes fittings to fail so quickly (LESS THAN 5 YEARS!!) Because this fitting was used on all of the lines in my system it required replacement of 10 fittings!!!!!!! How was Evergreen unaware that the fittings they had installed were known to fail??? Did they not have other systems with this issue? Once they identified coolant leak, and knowing the fittings you installed on the system were faulty, wouldn’t this be the logical first place to look once you are aware of coolant leak? Why was AJ unable to determine this in the 2 hours he visited my house? I talked to Chris, service manager, on Tue after the work was completed at my house. Submitted a complaint and requested a response. After a week I called, left a vm, and sent an email. NO RESPONSE. BEWARE: If you had a heat pump system installed by Evergreen between 2021-2022 you may have these fittings in your system. Recommend if your system needs repair or fails, you find a service that is more responsive and stands by their product and service.

This review is specifically for whoever decides to use AI agents. Our heat went out Friday night and on Saturday morning I talked to an "agent" who booked us an appointment for Monday. Monday morning the human agent calls to tell me that the AI booked me for a time slot they didn't have, and I didn't have an appointment. What a treat for me! The humans I worked with here were wonderful. The agent was sympathetic and tried to get me in as soon as they could. We eventually got a technician sent out and he was great. But this whole experience is marred by this terrible AI agent. An answering machine would have been better customer service. You all just let me know when you ditch the AI garbage and I'll update my review.

I have been using Evergreen Home Heating and Energy for years. They have always been professional, pleasant and dependable. Recently their technician AJ De Luna came out to repair our furnace and did a great job. I will continue using them.

I highly recommend Aaron for any furnace repairs. He displayed incredible professionalism from the moment he arrived, quickly diagnosing the issue and explaining the necessary steps. His speed was impressive, getting the heat back on much faster than I anticipated without sacrificing quality or attention to detail. It is rare to find someone who works this efficiently while maintaining such high standards, and my home is now perfectly warm thanks to his expert service.

I received 4 quotes to search for and repair our leaking ductless mini split system, installed by another company 5 years ago. Evergreen’s flat rate bid was the best value. I was so impressed with the technician Erin’s thoroughness, knowledge, and ethics that I requested them for the repair the following week. Erin described to me in detail the proper search and repair process, conveying an unmistakable sense of pride in doing that job correctly. Erin inspected and tightened every fitting. Quickly they found the leak source: a crushed 1/4” indoor unit fitting. While they were very diplomatic about it, this was an obvious installation error (again, not Evergreen’s install). With that fitting repaired, our system passed the pressure and vacuum checks. After recharging the refrigerant, our system performs better than ever. Consider this an unequivocal endorsement for Erin and Evergreen.
