It is incredible how companies that steal money from users are still in force. The worst experience I have had with this Rent A car. After renting a vehicle at a price then in the invoice they include everything they want and you end up paying triple.

The customer service was pleasant checking in. The girl who checked my car in was quiet pleasant. I kindly upgraded. The left front wheel well made a grinding sound. Almost like the power steering fluid was low. I appreciate the upgrade but was concerned about the vehicles quality. I appreciate AVIS and usually have a 10 out of 10 experience. Sorry

I have rented cars for years and am also a president's circle member. Tiana and Sophia helped me with my rental and the process was extremely smooth. They also displayed great customer service; overall super happy with the experience and I would definitely recommend and also be returning!

Anthony and his crew at the downtown location handled everything very well. I rent many cars, and it’s so nice not to have to deal with unknown surprises, extra charges, or shady service people. Thanks for getting us in and out so quickly, and making our travels a breeze. Cars were clean and drove great! Thanks to all your employees.

Provided a last minute rental quickly and professionally. Very easy process and very accommodating, friendly staff. They even stayed open 5 minutes after close when we realized we left behind some belongings. Would definitely use again!

I, usually do not rent over an extended period of time, and they made it seamless and worthwhile. Excellent service from the counter people. Especially Marvin. He went out of his way to secure a cab for us while it was raining out. Excellent price and clean rental vehicle. One negative: My wife was not feeling well and I tried to change the drop off location to the airport I was told there would be an additional $200.00 fee, which is outrageous....I probably will rent from Alamo again, but i will make sure I don't ask for any additional consideration...............

I booked and paid for a Toyota Rav SUV for an 8 day road trip with my wife. £332.78 was pre-paid on 1.8.23. When we collected the car on 2.9.23 at Boston Sea Front the car provided was a Kia K5 which was unsuitable as we had specifically requested and paid for an SUV due to the elevated driving position which my wife needs. This was pointed out to the clerk and we were told that that was the only car they had and that head office were sending them electric vehicles. We explained this did not suit our needs and that we had pre-paid for the car we were offered a $150 dollar refund which we reluctantly accepted. We were told it would be paid back to our credit card in a few days. At the end of the trip on 9.9.23 we pointed out at the return of the vehicle that the refund was still outstanding and were told that it would now be credited to our account after the vehicle had been returned. This was 5 days ago and still. there has been no refund. On top of that the vehicle was not properly cleaned and the windows were covered in a film that affected visibility. Furthermore the rear seats were stained all over which looked horrible. Photos were taken. All in all a very dissatisfactory experience.

Won't go with AVIS in future. 1. Avis rental centre gave me a EV without a charging cable, ruined my Christmas 25th and Boxing 26th day as I could not go anywhere and forced me to drive over an hour back to Boston Logan airport for an exchange. 2. Exchange car did not even have a snow removal brush. Luckily weather wasn't that cold with snow. 3. WHY were you charging me an extra hour of rental? I returned the car well before 12pm EST stated on my rental agreement!!! AVIS quality has been degrading over years. Will go elsewhere renting my car in future.

Be very careful when you rent a car at this location. All they offer is filthy cars and shady practice. My worst car rental experience ever. In the past, when I rented a car, I always got something like 2018 or 2019 Toyota, clean inside and outside, and there has never been a problem with billing. This car rental is just exactly the opposite. The Ford Focus was so dirty that it looked like it had not been washed for months or even years. The car was terribly lack of maintenance -- it kept reminding me to change the oil and add more washer fluid. They read the fuel level as 5/8 when returned while it was very clear that it was almost 6/8, and charged me an additional $10 for that. Great. They had the words "NO AFTER HOUR RETURN" on the door. I explicitly asked the front desk about it, and I was told that they DID offer after hour return. So I returned just a few minutes after 6pm and dropped the key in the box (If they did not offer after hour return, why would they provide a drop box?), only to find that I was charged a $15 late fee because the late return. What the hell is this? Fortunately a national 800 number was able to fix all these for me (Thumbs up). But avoid this particular location whenever possible.
