Avis Car Rental

I’ve used Avis Car Rentals on Atlantic Ave for years and will continue my business with them. I rent from Diane a couple times a year when driving from Boston to Florida, as it’s important for me to have a newer and larger SUV for both reliability and safety. Diane has never disappointed and has ALWAYS delivered with the best vehicle for my needs. Including, she’s come through with my request for the last minute reservations! When I arrive staff has me out of the office with key in hand in ten minutes, vehicles have always been clean, fresh and ready to go! Avis at 270 Atlantic Ave is on point! Go see Diane for your rentals as you won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed. Company is on point!

Great service, the gentleman helped us out, made sure we don’t get a car where someone smoked before and arranged for a Jeep Compass instead with my family. Kudos! Also the Avis customer service was helpful. We had a great trip thanks to this rental office

Reserved a car via Costco Travel. Got a good deal for $109.72 total from 5/28-5/31 (Kia Soul or similar). I booked early so I was able to lock in this low rate. The rate later became nearly $500+ and then sold out. Picked up at this location and dropped off at BOS Logan Airport. This worked out well for us. I originally had a pick up time set at 4pm (return at 12pm) but due to a schedule change I could pick up early at 12pm. I asked the staff ahead of time and they said that was no problem. Kudos to the staff for allowing me to pick up early and didn’t give me a hard time. Car pick up process was straightforward, I was in and out of the office within 3-5 minutes. The staff only asked if I would like to purchase additional insurance (liability I remembered) and I indicated I have my own and politely declined. I signed the paperwork and she gave me the key and let me know how to get up to the garage (7th floor) to pick up the car. I got a Toyota Corolla (with all the tech/safety package) with only less than 700 miles. Nice new car (even though it already got some rear bumper damage/scratches). Very clean inside (but no floor mats). I noted down the damages with the agent at the pick up area and I was on my way out of the garage. Car drop off at the airport was also very easy. Followed the signs to the right level of the car rental center and the agent was very friendly. He checked the car and fuel level, and sent me the final invoice right away. No any additional charge, the final cost was the same as when I reserved the car. It was a very pleasant car rental experience with this AVIS location and airport dropoff. All the staff I encountered was nice and friendly. Picking up and dropping off the car were both smooth and easy. Would totally rent from this location again and recommend this location to anyone!

The car was EXTREMELY dirty when I picked it up. There clearly was no cleaning done on it at all. There was even a beer can in the back seat, and the driver seat and trunk were all dirty. Also they weren’t very understanding at how much room we needed in the car. We had a group of 7 people and 4 big suitcases and weren’t flexible at all at giving us a bigger car, which is actually what the online listing I paid for said I was getting.

already felt very badly taken care of during the pickup. I was offered a RAV4, although I had ordered a class higher. I ordered a Ford Edge or similar. The entire team seemed unprofessional. "Do you have a PIN for AVIS?" "No, mine has expired. Take the one of your colleague who is not here today." To name just one example. When I finally got another car, it was only half full and unwashed. The car smelled strongly of marijuana inside, which is very unpleasant with a child on board. Although I returned the car with more gas in the tank than it had when I picked it up, I was charged $44.97 for it.... Overall, underground. The vehicle delivery worked smoothly, therefore 1 point.

I have been a customer of Diane with Avis for over twenty years.Diane operates the highest quality car rental locations in Boston and surrounding suburbs . Any time there might be an issue she remedies it quickly .For the record there have been very few issues over 20 years. When I pick up the rental car-they are always pristine inside and out . The satellite radio option is a plus. I highly recommend Diane and her manager Leo.

Like most people have figured out (or maybe not) if you don't rent at Logan Airport and use the Avis in downtown Boston you don't pay all those additional fees! Renting at the Atlantic Ave location has been a wonderful experience. The staff is awesome, always pleasant, quick pick up, clean car and drop off is very easy. I would definitely recommend this location!

As an owner of a local business, the Winthrop Marketplace, we use Avis, Atlantic Ave. Boston frequently. We have never had a negative experience. The staff is very upbeat and friendly, the prices are very competitive. They go out of their way to make sure that the customers' needs are met. I highly recommend them for your rent-a-car needs.

The car was returned on Friday, July 31st at 4:55pm with a full tank of gas. However, the car was never checked back into the system by the rental facility. It wasn’t until I called Avis on August 3rd to enquire and was told the car was rented out again on August 1st but was never checked back in and would require escalation. The car was finally marked “returned” in the system on August 4th. To add to the wonderful experience, despite the tank of gas being full when returned, I was still charged $17.99 for fuel service. Would not recommend and I’m President’s Club status. Horrible customer service.
