Oh where to begin. I’d say on a whole, their price was about the same as other quotes I got and the equipment was pretty much the same. Sales staff, engineering staff, and installers were all very knowledgeable. Their organization SUCKS though. I got my quote in August and the system wasn’t turned on until FEBRUARY. Communication was non existent about what was happening and when or when my family would be without power. Installers treated my home like a job site and left things feeling unfinished; I took 5 contractor bags of trash to the dump myself and had to finish burying the last 12ft of cable myself. Because there is no system of quality checks or accountability in the org, no one has checked on the final product or how my system is working out. If they aren’t cheaper than the other guys, and they are putting in about the same equipment, the only thing that differentiates one solar org from another is their service. In end, I wish I had chosen a different company and saved myself the headaches. I cannot recommend this place.

The whole process from start to finish was really organized. Rising Sun is very prompt, courteous and everything was laid out for me with much detail. Rhody and Desmond were always available to answer my questions and I had a lot! Megan stayed in contact with us through the whole process and we always knew what was going on. The installation crew was always on time for the work day and was polite and courteous and cleaned up after themselves every day. The emphase app is extremely easy to use and I love checking it everyday to see how much energy the panels are producing. I also love that is shows real time what our panels are producing compared to how much energy we are using. The panels are great quality and look really nice on our roof. We've recommended RisingSun to all of our friends and neighbors. Top Notch Company we are so glad we were able to work with them!

One thing I appreciated was how calm the technicians stayed when unexpected wiring problems showed up in our old house. Instead of rushing or blaming previous electricians, they explained the issue clearly and fixed it properly. The setup looks neat and doesn’t make the roof look cluttered.

THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY - DO NOT BUY FROM ASTRAWATT - NO SERVICE WARRANTY. While I was originally happy with my installation, about 14 months into my ownership I had a micro inverter go out. No big deal I thought, enphase was quick to send a new one, but Astrawatt went through some business restructuing and now for service calls you have to pay upfront. Ok I thought, how do I get reimbursed? 2 months, 8 calls, and multiple email attempts later, NO ONE will tell me how to get reimbursed. The local service office said Corporate appears to have dropped all their existing customers. That is exactly how I feel. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASTRAWATT SOLAR. STAY AWAY.

I highly recommend Astrawatt Solar!!! I did a ton of research into solar panels and was lucky enough to get the most passionate and informative sales rep on the planet, Rhody. He took the time to answer all of my questions and listen to what I had to say. After signing my agreement, Megan took over as the project manager and kept me in the loop as to what was going on, how long it would take as well as any updates she had on her end. She was also very quick to answer any questions I had. A site visit was scheduled with the project coordinator, Desmond, who came out and did a complete walk-through on my property and we determined the best place to place the ground mount system. He took a bunch of measurements and submitted them for review. A few weeks later Megan then sent me all the plans and engineer stamps on the project. My installation manager, Jamie, coordinated the solar installation with Megan. The day of the solar panel installation Ryan and his crew arrived and although it rained/sprinkles off and on for those 2 days they worked with no complaints and got the job done! They were all very courteous, polite and picked up after themselves. Ryan took the time to do a walk through with me and explain the information on the Enlighten app (for the solar panels). This whole process has been very smooth and I have been updated the entire time. Even after my solar panel installation I received a phone call from Jamie stating when the inspector was planning on coming out as well as another follow up email from Megan explaining that an inspection would take place and then a net meter would be installed. Everybody I have came in contact with has been very polite, answered all of my questions and I could tell they are all very passionate about their work. I can’t thank you enough for such a great experience with these guys and that’s why I would highly recommend going with them for your solar panel needs!

We are new owners of a home with existing system. When we moved in the roof was being replace and the panels needed to be reinstalled. Jermaine and his team were AMAZING! Clearly communicated schedule, addressed expectations and went above and beyond to ensure the transfer of ownership was seamless. They were knowledgeable, efficient and service oriented. Hands down the best solar company we have dealt with.

Bottom line up front – Astrawatt Solar is probably the best company I have worked with. When getting quotes, be sure to also reach out to them and you will not be disappointed. Our process really involved 3 basic phases, each step was handled perfectly. We reached out to half a dozen reputable companies. Each provided a sales pitch on benefits, expectations, and goals. Bryan was our initial point of contact. We did a virtual meeting that lasted between 60-90 minutes. However, he went further than other companies in getting our meter data from the prior year. He provided us with a detailed analysis of our house based on our consumption data and historic weather (on a monthly basis). He went into depth on the type of technology that is available, and explained how the systems work, and what technologies would meet our goals. I felt armed with the right information to make a decision after talking with him and we quickly decided Astrawatt was the best company to work with. After signing a contract, we were handed off to a project manager, Megan, who was outstanding. We faced a reluctant HOA and city (which required a conditional use permit). The permitting process with the city took a lot more time an energy than I had expected. Luckily, Megan kept Bryan involved, as he represented our interests very well at our public hearings. I’m not sure I could have handpicked anyone better than Bryan for that aspect. Bryan also did not hesitate to attend future meetings in order to ensure we had the best chance of success in obtaining a permit. It took several parallel efforts, but Astrawatt stayed with me, kept in communication, and we ultimately persevered. While the permitting process was very slow (because of the city), Astrawatt was proactive in ensuring we would have our installation proceed as soon as possible after issuance of the permit in order to ensure we met the end of year deadline for our rebate through the power company. I know Megan was balancing a number of projects, but her responsiveness was almost super-human. She was on top of everything and would get back with me immediately to address any of my questions or concerns. The final phase was the actual installation. There were many people involved in this, but I can say the entire team was respectful and really seemed to care about getting the job done well. AJ was our lead electrician and was the main point of contact. We did have an issue with panel placement, and we needed to ensure basic requirements were met (due to our permit). He and his team understood and brainstormed a solution (even the guys on the roof). In the end, we couldn’t be happier with the symmetry and layout they came up with. It was a multi-day installation, but they kept us informed throughout. Additionally, they had the final county inspection completed the day after the install. I really couldn’t have asked for anything more from them. Our system is producing the energy we expect, and it looks really nice with the all black panel and edging. Reach out to all the companies around and I’m fully confident that Astrawatt will provide the best experience. They are committed to getting the job done right! Thanks so much to the entire team!

I'm quite happy I choose Astrawatt over several others I talked with for my solar install. They were a just a tad bit more expensive, but after reading reviews for all the firms, I went with them after reading some of the horror stories with other firms. Every time I contacted any of the several people working with me, responses were immediate, or emails and calls answered extremely quickly. Always the same day, and often within minutes. There were a few very minor glitches, but each was addressed very quickly. Reading all firms' reviews, at least a small problem or two appear to be common with these projects. With all the various required inspections, start to finish was a little over 3 months, which was right in line with the timeline they furnished at the start. System's working perfectly as well.

Astrawatt really went out of their way to help us out with our solar system. Even though our system was from a different company, and therefore would have voided our warranty if Astrawatt had worked on it, they gave us good advice and assisted us in getting the other company to finally repair our system. Really went above and beyond for a system that didn't even belong to them. I can only imagine the excellent customer service they would give to one of their own customers. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely use this company for my solar system!
