From the initial planning and design, through the inspector process, to the completion of the project, everything was professional and top notch. Excellent crew helping us understand the process each step of the way. Once everything was done we had a very nice look added to our home as well as a substantial improvement to our energy cost. The limited amount of sun exposure to our roof was maximized to the fullest. Thanks to everyone, and I recommend this company to anyone looking to help save the planet with what we can! I really dislike writing this as the people I have met from this company have been great. However it has been 2 years and the panels have never worked, and the company are pretty much non responsive. It took a months to get them to look at it, they admitted it wasn’t working so replaced a part. It still isn’t working so it seems they have decided to ignore it. Definitely do not recommend.

I have only great things to say about RisingSun Solar. I started talking with Rhody back in February of this year because we were interested in going solar. I had done a far bit of research already and had a lot of questions for Rhody. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions and made sure that solar was a good fit for us. We had an initial video call and over the phone and email as we figured out all of the details. There was no pressure and Rhody was patient with all of my questions. We got a few more quotes from other companies (and some that never even got back to us). RisingSun was the cheapest, but also offered the best level of service, guarantees, and promise of quality. Desmond came out to do our site inspection and check everything out. He showed up on time and was able to get all of the measurements and pictures he needed. While he was in the attic, he noticed some standing water under our HVAC unit and make sure to take a picture and let me know. Megan was our project manager and kept us in the loop on all the updates and and schedule. The engineering review and submitting permits to the city happened all within 24 hours of the site assessment. The permit took just 1 week to be approved. I assume that is partly due to the quality of the plans that were drawn up and submitted. After approval, we were able to get on the schedule for install just about a month later. The team installed all the panels in just 3 days on the roof. Everyone was very friendly and courtesy about working around us and our home. Several of the folks played peek-a-boo through the window with our 18 month old, which she very much enjoyed and kept referring to them as "hey man". Now everyone we see with a ladder is a "hey man". The install is clean and we couldn't be happier. The team showed us how everything works and made sure everything looked good to us. They cleaned up the site and you can't even tell they were here (outside of the new shiny panels on our roof). Our net-meter was installed about a week later by Evergy and after flipping the switch we've been generating clean, renewable energy with the power of the sun. I would highly recommend getting a quote from RisingSun Solar and having them install your system. They are good people to work with.

I am so thrilled to have chosen RisingSun Solar for our solar project. They have awesome communication, all my questions were heard and addressed in a timely manner. Logistics with the other companies involved in my project were handled efficiently by RisingSun. I never felt like I was an imposition , all the people that worked on my house were so polite and professional but super laid back which made me feel great about having them in my home. I am confident that they are going to be there for me if I have any needs in the future with our system. Also my project wasn’t huge but they never made me feel like it wasn’t important. They had a few challenges along the way and met each one with solutions that went above and beyond what I would expect. It’s a solid company, trustworthy and local. You can’t ask for anything better.

My solar project was far more complex than most, since I needed a meter merger accomplished along with a complicated solar ground wire run. So, the level of competency needed to be a "10" out of "10". After doing a lot of research, I selected RisingSun Solar for a ground mount system. Their installation bid was very reasonable and the quality of installation was very impressive. Matt Sheppard, Tyler, Jamie, Alex, and everyone else at the RisingSun Solar Team was very helpful and responsive during the installation process. Regarding the complexity of the installation, they knew exactly what they were doing and the solar array passed all county inspections on the first attempt each time. What an amazing experience! I highly recommend Astrawatt Solar (formerly RisingSun Solar). I was very happy with my experience from beginning to end starting with the system sizing and bid process, to design, scheduling, installation and follow-up. Communication was excellent with each person letting me know what to expect at each stage and calling ahead to confirm appointments. Installation was completed ahead of schedule (on Earth Day no less) with no surprises. My system was sized correctly for my current energy use with options to expand for car charging or battery backup. I was given options with no pressure and the recommendation of a smaller, cheaper system than other companies had sized which will meet my needs but not overproduce. The cost was very competitive and the equipment (REC panels and Enphase microinverters) are high quality and with excellent 25 year parts and labor warranty. I couldn’t be happier with the process and would be happy to talk to anyone interested about my experience. Thank you Reid, Nick, Desmond, Megan, Keith, Ryan and Chris for making the process an enjoyable one.

Rising Sun solar did an excellent job with guiding me through the selection process, design of the system, and its installation. I could not be happier. My system is not huge, but it is already saving me money. I am already thinking of how to expand it so I can generate more power and thereby save myself more money. If you are considering solar panels do yourself a favor and call Rising Sun and let the experts help you out. If you ever have any issues just call them and you will most likely talk to Keith who is the owner/president of the company. I called him after hours and business hours and it went to his mobile phone and he answered it and talked with me for like 30 minutes over a concern I had. He is very willing to talk you about his products in a very friendly and knowledgeable manner. The Installation team I had was excellent and did a wonderful job making the installation highly function and visually pleasing. They answered any questions that I had while they were on site. Don’t hesitate just give them a buzz.

We are so glad that we waited to go solar until this year. This gave us the time to consult with numerous installers until we found just the right one. Rising Sun Solar not only install top of the line equipment but they stand behind their workmanship. We can expect Rising Sun Solar to pull in our driveway for twelve years to trouble shoot and stand behind their install. That speaks volumes that they are confident in the products they are installing and want a relationship with their customers. Rising Sun Solar sent out the perfect person, Rhody to our home. He answered ALL our questions and NO high pressure sales. Before leaving we had his direct number for future questions. Believe us, we had many questions. We only had one hang up in the entire process and it was on our end, hesitating to pull the trigger and deciding to leap. They will give you a time line as to when to expect for each step of the process. Our ground mount system with a 10kw battery is up and running. We will need to figure out the best way to utilize our battery. I have faith that with more data each day we collect they will help us fine tune our system for top performance. Of course just our luck, we have had a weeks worth of clouds and rain. We trust that they designed our system to produce good numbers for the few days of data we have had great production even though we have had heavy cloud cover and RAIN every day. The entire process from drawing up the plan, changing the plan (on our end), getting the permits, getting our supplies delivered, installing the system and trouble shooting the few things after install all was a pleasant experience. They kept us in the loop every step of the way even when they were in between hiring a new product manager. Every person we came in contact with has been pleasant, knowledgeable and excited to get our system up and producing. Thank you Rising Sun Solar for such a positive experience.
