Beginning with the registration desk at 5am, and leaving for home by 4:15 SAME day, my hospital experience was simply fantastic! My nurse, Laura was just so helpful, patient, and attentive. Demetria was also so very helpful and caring - especially making sure I was steady on my feet. Ryan (PT) was great too, and very patient. Honestly, EVERYONE - was just wonderful. And finally, a very special thanks to my surgical team, and of course, Dr. Raab, my hip surgeon. He, and his PA, Sierra, have served me so well. Have had several surgeries over the past 35 years, and while many were good, this was by far the best! Thank you to Elite Sports Medicine…you lived up to your name!
Being from out of town and not knowing where to go for trusted healthcare I felt very well taken care of while at Ascension. The entire staff works hard to make others feel welcome and comfortable while ensuring their healthcare needs are properly and promptly met. Every encounter I had from my entrance to my departure was exceptional. I had a few moments where I had a run in with an employee but each time it was promptly addressed and I was reassured that my concerns mattered. I’ve never been to a hospital where every nurse doctor and other support staff including the housekeepers and nutrition staff were so accommodating. With that being said I would trust Ascension St Thomas with any of my healthcare needs and hope that if someone is traveling or new to the area they don’t hesitate to give this place a chance. I also hope that if you do give them a chance you have a similar experience full of support and top notch care.
Nurses in all units were friendly, sharp and professional . I almost enjoyed my stay if not for surgery., which went very well. The staff in surgery and Doctors were great. All things were great .
Excellent experience. Nurse Heather was amazing. Explained everything before and after surgery. The OR staff and of course Dr. Gandhi did amazing work. Very satisfied.
This was my second time at Ascension St.Thomas. Both times the staff was wonderful. Everyone was kind, helpful, and thoughtful. My surgery went well and I was able to come home the same day. I can’t say enough good things about the facility, staff, and doctors. My incision looked great. I had a 90 degree bend in my knee which is phenomenal. The last pic is us heading home.
I experienced the scariest medical situation of my life last week at Saint Thomas Mid Town. However, I could have not asked to be in better hands. The entire team at Saint Thomas was wonderful. Everyone from the doctors, surgeons, nurses, techs, all the way to the dietary staff that made sure I ate good my whole stay. I literally cannot brag enough!! I have never walked away from a hospital stay or visit as happy with every single factor I encountered like I have with this situation at Saint Thomas! I will forever the rest of my life only do medical business with Saint Thomas affiliated doctors.
I'm in my mid-40s and I finally went and did the dreaded colonoscopy. I must say it was the easiest procedure I have ever been through. The staff was awesome the nurses and Doctor were great. If you're recommended to do this don't put it off just go do it it's nothing like you think it'll be. Take the day off work you'll be done by lunch and go get something great to eat cuz you'll be starving at that point :-)
This was for my father who will turn 94 on the 1st of June. His hip surgery with Dr. Gregory Raab went great. The nurse were exceptional. Two in particular. Addie and Heaven made his stay as good as it could possibly be. I would recommend it to anyone having joint surgery.
A few of my nurses and techs were incredible unfortunately The second day after my posterior cervical surgery one of my techs and a nurse (who wasn’t one of mine) snatched me up in the bed and caused me a lot of pain and didn’t seem to care. They moved me the wrong way. While another one of my pm nurse was nice she would leave to go get me an ice pack and I wouldn’t see her again. The day that I was discharged, I’ve never been released so fast. They ordered me a soft collar but never got. I feel like I was released a day to early.
Arrival time was 9:30- got back to surgery at 12:00, wait time was a little long but everyone there was very sweet and had excellent bed manners. There were two ladies that stood out. I had an emotional moment and they were right there to hold my hand, provide tissue and just give loving words of positivity. I wished I had gotten their names. They were absolutely what stood out. So sweet. My doctor and the rest of the staff were awesome too.
