My nurses, anesthesia, and everyone I encountered were courteous, funny, and very professional. Preop holding was actually fun! They kept my nervousness down to a minimum and treated like a long lost friend. Can’t say enough about everyone!
I found myself spending five nights at St Thomas midtown after a medical emergency and surgery. The team in the fourth floor cardiac step down unit were truly incredible. Never have I received such care. What a gift it is to have a place like this so close to home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who cared for me last week. You are all heroes.
All the staff was very professional. I was treated with kindness, care, and respect. The nurse in charge of my care explained post operative procedures for taking care of my knee and answered all questions in terms I could understand. Dr. Raab was top notch! He talked with me before and after surgery, making me feel less apprehensive. He made sure that my wife knew what was happening during the whole surgery process. The physical therapist was friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable! Overall, one of the best hospitals!
the care was adequate though plan on repeating yourself at least 3 times before anything happens. The food is THE WORST I have *ever* experienced. I have had to stay at the boro at st. thomas west aand others but the food was never on time. the milk was room temp. the meals were awful compared to any other hospital aand out of 7 nights they missed 4 entire meals. theor "sandwhiches" was bread with a single piece of lunch meat.
I love this hospital, every one was so nice and polite, they checked on me more than enough. The Dr's an Nurses are the best, and even the food service workers were great, and my food was always hot when I received it, which was a total 💯.
I would give it 5 stars but the last nurse (Brianna) was not very friendly she didn't want to be bothered. The last Dr ( can't remember his name) that came in to take care of my husband I feel is incompetent. My husband is allergic to aspirin, but yet this last Dr said he couldn't give him ibuprofen because it has the same properties as aspirin!? Like seriously ibuprofen was ordered by the first doctor and was on his chart to be able to take. Other than these 2 people I highly recommend this place.
My time at Saint Thomas will be unforgettable for not only what I went through but because of the wonderful nursing staff and doctors. Everyone that I came in contact with was so caring and understanding, I am very thankful for every single one of them!

Very pleased with the care I recieved at Ascension St Thomas Midtown surgery center. Everything was great from registration to initia pre op and post op. My nurses were fantastic and took excellent care of me and made sure my family was cared for and informed each step of the way. Wonderful experience..
Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. They worked as a team to get our baby girl delivered safely, and made sure my wife was healthy and well taken care of at all times. No better place to have a baby in Nashville.
