Everything was clearly labeled at hospital dropoff. Check in went smoothly. , got in pre-op right away. Met all my Doctors and nurses there, ready to do their thing. Meds went in IV bag ....and I woke in recovery feeling great. I don't even remember leaving pre-op. My Husband and I agree, it was great to see all the Nurses working together, helping each other out. Such Wonderful Staff and treatment through out my stay. PS, love the gown warmer with blower.
Not handicapped accessible at main entrance. We pulled up for valet and there were no wheelchairs available they do not keep any st the main entrance. I asked a nurse who brought a patient out if I could use her wheelchair for my husband, he’s a stroke patient with stage 4 cancer going to 5th floor for blood, but she said no it was outpatient surgery wheelchair. There was a male nurse with s patient that had to go to another location but he did offer to bring his back to us. But the valet gentlemen heard the nurse tell us no and he offered to go to the ER where apparently they keep the wheelchairs and get one for us. Thank you to both gentlemen for offering and I wish I had the female nurse name but she was in to bug a hurry to tell me no to stop. We were there Wednesday approximately 9:30 to 9:45 am Please supply valet at the main entrance with wheelchairs like West location does

How do I thank Dr. Sareen for saving my life. We were driving home from Florida and I couldn’t breathe. It was a miracle that we went to St Thomas Midtown’s emergency that night. The next morning, Dr. Sareen came into my ICU room and took me immediately into surgery. She removed 80 plus blood clots from my lungs. I am very grateful for Dr. Sareen’s training and advanced skills to be able to save my life. Every doctor and nurse involved with my care excelled at their job.
This was my first experience at an Ascension St. Thomas Hospital. I had surgery there and stayed 5 nights. My experience was top notch from the moment I arrived till I was discharged. I am most impressed by their staff. They are professional under a lot of stress and assure your needs are addressed.
Everyone from start to finish were great. My surgery was on time and done well by Dr. Houston. My doctor was just fantastic and spent a lot of time explaining things to me. The nursing staff were also wonderful and even accommodated my wife by providing a cot for her so she could stay the night with me. I would highly recommend St. Thomas Midtown to anyone who wants to receive top notch care.
Preop nurses were delightful and kind. My day nurses Kate and Kayla were awesome. They were right on top of everything I needed. At night it was a different story. I had to call four times within an hour for pain meds and pain was out of control. It was very bad and that nurse didn’t really even bother to speak to me. I was a nurse, and I found that behavior to be very unprofessional.
I cannot recommend this place enough for maternity care and delivery—truly, highly recommend! From the very beginning of my pregnancy, Dr. Sledge and her incredible team supported me every step of the way. Their guidance made navigating my health and preparing for birth feel so much easier and less overwhelming. Every staff member I encountered was not only professional, but also warm, compassionate, and genuinely invested in my well-being. My delivery experience was unforgettable. From the OB Emergency Room staff to the front desk team, the support nurses, the anesthesia team, and even those working behind the scenes whom I never met—everyone worked together seamlessly. They handled urgent moments with both skill and gentleness, making me feel safe, cared for, and reassured. Special shoutouts go to Destiny, Taylor, Riley, Ashley, Kayla, and Joanna—you are all heroes in my eyes. Your dedication, compassion, and expertise played such a vital role in my delivery and recovery. I especially want to thank Taylor, who worked tirelessly beside me, giving me the strength and encouragement I needed to push my baby into the world. And to Dr. Sledge—your unwavering support and skills kept me going when exhaustion nearly got the best of me. I truly couldn’t have done it without you. To every single person who helped me on that unforgettable day—thank you from the bottom of my heart. I went to the ER around 2am June 2nd and everything was great . The doctors and nurses were very professional and answered any and all questions . After being admitted the care was very professional also .
