I just recently got out of the hospital at saint thomas midtown from having three surgeries on my spine. My surgeon and his team are top notch and I am extremely satisfied with their work. On the other hand the second and third shift nurses and the janitorial janitorial teen teen are not so satisfactory. I can't say that everynurse was terrible. But there are a selecthere are absolutely horrible. I. Was blamed for smoking in my room.In the police were called on me in which at that time , they came in and patted me down and searched the room. Upon searching the police looked at the nurse and said I do not smell any smoke in here and what you are doing is wrong. Yes, I do smoke. And when the police came I told them exactly where my cigarettes were. Regardless if I smoke or not, the police told the nurse that there was no signs of smoking on that floor. And believe me, if someone was smoking, you would smell it.. This all started because I was up walking with my Walker.Trying to get a head start on building my strength back which my doctor told me was exactly what I needed to do. They got mad at me because was out of my room a lot.Walki can so they put the alarm on my bed to go off if I even sat on the side of my bed. I am 50 years old and in good health.Other than my spine and I am determined to get my strength back. And they were hindering me from doing so treating me like a child. I even told my Doctor my surgeon that I was going to the vending machine on the 1st floor and would step outside for a moment. And they had no problems with that. Just because some nurses won'ted power over me and I would not abide by their rules. This is how I was treated. Can anyone tell me that they have ever heard of police being called on a patient with suspicion of smoking? You call the police when a crime is being committed not with suspicion of smoking a cigarette. Spread the word, please.Because this is nonsense and it was on the eighth floor of saint thomas midtown spine center. I was there six days and I only had house cleaning one time and I will post the pictures to prove it.

Well, I am not a hospital person. It sometimes there are no other options. I was at Ascension in Nashville, Tennessee on the 26th of March 2026 for total hip replacement surgery. I choose to stay over night. Everyone I met from the check in receptionist, to nurses, to floor staff, physical theory staff, the anesthesiologist to the entire operating room staff were excellent! The hospital is very clean. The meals I were served were good. I felt relaxed, well care for. I would definitely use Ascension sgain. As ention is a 5 Star experience for me!!

Some nurses don't need to be around patients common courtesy goes a long way. Also forgetting to make sure your patient gets food and not dismissing it as you can go buy something. Then said nurse said we'll at least you got something when asking if you're ok which you replied NO. The your husband explained he had to go buy me food because she didn't care. Do better.

I can't really say much but it isn't the same when it was Baptist Hospital from the beginning it was a compassionate, caring and thoughtful place with emphatic staff, since the change I wasn't pleased I was giving a menu for lunch and ordered my food but never got it everyone seemed to rushed and one says I may stay overnight then it changed to going home got overdosed with seizure medicine went home and ended up seizing with high blood pressure and auras so I had to get a hold of my neurologist at General hospital to straighten out what was going on with me and that was taken care of. All I can say is it was an revolving door of an hospital. Dr. Osborne at Radiation Oncology was a thorough kind and intelligent doctor and gave me details and asked if I needed any answers to anything about what she explained to me.

I would like to commend Dr. Mariana Chavez for the exceptional surgical care provided to my husband. Following the procedure, my husband is recovering comfortably at home, and I have observed that the surgical site appears to be healing remarkably well, indicating a high level of skill and precision. Furthermore, my husband shared his positive experience with a confident and appreciative demeanor. I extend my sincere congratulations to Dr. Chavez for her outstanding work, and to the entire team for their excellent support and the efficient management of all aspects of the process. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility.

St. Thomas Midtown is absolutely horrible. My boyfriend goes in with chest pains after heart surgery three months ago they put him on no eat diet because from day one they were gonna do a test on him now is stage seven test still has not been done. He’s been on no food diet every day until like five or 6 PM. The first day he has to take binders cause he’s on dialysis well. The first day they didn’t have the medicine he has to take before every meal. It took them six hours to get that medicine after he hadn’t eaten all day. He had dialysis that morning because the night before when we first got there, they served him mashed potatoes with his Meal shot his potassium up to dangerous level because he ate without his medicine they do dialysis because of it and then they don’t get him his medicine in the next day until late. Yeah I eat all day. He is a type one diabetic many times his sugar has been up to 300 and he was told he was not gonna be given any insulin for another four hours as his sugar level continues to rise up to 600 oh this is not all they’ve been rude to me. I had a nurse come in there trying to explain why they didn’t have his medicine so he could eat as she said or do you not care very unprofessional very very unprofessional so I have not been at the hospital with him this whole time because of the way they have been behaving and I’m trying to avoid him getting upset, seeing how he has heart issues I go in the bathroom. There’s a roach as big as my foot on the floor. The room is filthy so then my best friend‘s mom ends up having to go by ambulance to the ER. I go to sit with her so she won’t be alone until her daughter comes. We’re in the waiting room because they wanted to do triage they come a nurse or whoever she is comes out tells me she needs to go to the bathroom that it isn’t her job and starts going off on me because I told her that it is her job to help because it is a liability if she falls in that bathroom on their watch they will get Sued so she’s going off on me. She won’t give me her name. Nobody will give me her name my friend calls up there while I’m standing there with her mom the person she talked to comes over being hateful. My friend was on video. She said you do see how busy we are right and when I started to speak, she said she’s the patient here. She’s the patient. OK well then why aren’t you treating her like a patient and it doesn’t matter I’m practically family and you should be treating me kind as well because this is scary. We’re already scared and upset and to come in to a place is supposed to be caring helpful understanding for them to be the complete opposite and literally tell somebody it’s not their job like they’re a burden to the hospital is unacceptable after I leave her daughter shows up and says she overhear some talking saying will you mention the word lawsuit you’re out of here OK why is there something to hide? I mean, you know you’re in the wrong already when you wouldn’t give me the ladies’s name I swear, if I was on my deathbed, I’d rather die then go to this hospital. I will never be back in this hospital again, and I will report them to CMS Medicare. And if for some reason you do choose to go to this hospital don’t you dare let them take you to the fourth floor because the people that work on the fourth floor could care less about anything at all they have a bad reputation everybody. I’ve talked to said oh no you’re on the fourth floor like something needs to be done about this. And for over 220k for one week you would think they would treat you a little better
