Really difficult to find the entrance. I walked around the entire block and couldn’t find it. Had to asked three times for direction, and finally learnt they are on the second floor. After knowing that, it was still challenging to find the staircase. No signage at all. Not friendly for first-time customers coming by foot. Once I was on the second floor and almost there, it got confusing again. It says they close at 11pm, I was there around 9pm, and it felt like it was closing with multiple entrances being blocked.
Pissed went to Acme and end up getting over charged not saying it's the cashiers fault.but I need my extra back this was suppose to be $9.93 and the charge was 14.19 .I will be going down there in the morning
To purchase alcohol they want to go to a separate alcohol register, which I understand. After you buy the alcohol they want you to walk to the other side of the store and go through self checkout with your receipt. It feels like a prison. People that want to steel are going to do it, don't penalize the general public. Another thing, it's in Northern Liberties, one of the most well-off areas in the city, is theft that big of a problem? I for one will NOT be going back.
Went here at 10PM on Thursday night after checking their website hours (said they were open until 11). Security guard at the front door said they were closed with some discernible attitude. Shoppers were browsing inside and the sign on their door said they were open until 11PM. I drove up to ShopRite on Aramingo, did all my shopping, drove home, and managed to get inside before they were scheduled to close at 11PM. It’s bad enough that they’re overpriced, but they should at least honor the posted hours and not be rude about it.
05/18 9:50pm, the staff for beer/wine section was not there for at least 15 min. So we sesrched around store to find him sneaking around, being lazy and annoyed that we found him. He came back couple minutes later because he had to finish his conversation, and when he came back no apology or words. Just rolled his eyes, not even telling us which of the two counter he is going to use. Rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. ACME Matket, are you that shorthanded that you need to use someone like him? This guy needs serious discipline.
I'm not a big fan of Acme. I find it difficult to navigate, but it has a better alcoholic drink selection than the other grocery store nearby. I don't find the employees particularly welcoming and they don't carry things I consider normal.
FOUL. I went in there to see if they had these popcorn chicken bites that I like, they did. However, I wouldn’t eat them if someone paid me a million dollars. Why? Because they had chicken, and other meats, thawing in a barely refrigerated section. They were warm, squishy, and sitting out there thawing the entire time. All these items, the chicken and beef, should be frozen. I don’t know who the manager is, but they obviously don’t care or are completely incompetent. All these items need to be thrown away before they make multiple people sick. These are frozen foods, not shelf foods. I can’t even say refrigerated, it was barely cold over there.
Normally this store is great. However within the last week or two it's smelled like raw sewage. It's vomit inducing in this store the smell is so bad. This can't be healthy for the employees or safe for the food being sold. This needs to be fixed or the health department needs to come take a look.
Sometime good sometimes don't Good variety of food Half of the staff is friendly, the other half seems to not give a dam about you, there is definitely something to improve
Renovation are being done so everything is in new places. Have to get used to the new layout. The reason I gave it a one star is because of the expired cheese I found in the refrigerator. A couple days is bad but not as bad as a couple months! If I had not checked the date before purchase I would have purchased old cheese.
