Love Acme on 2nd street. Clean, friendly, and great service.
Everything I need at a reasonable price is here! I love this store, but they could hire more friendly workers. Or at liest commit their current employees to be more friendly. Their customer service is kind and friendly. Many of the rest seem to have attitude! One cashier snapped at me and closed the line for no reason at all. All I asked was why, and she snapped attitude at me like I did something to her. I did nothing but wait my turn in line like everyone else. I was so upset, I abandoned the shopping cart I had filled with groceries I had planned to buy and left the store. I went grocery shopping elsewhere that day!
This place has improved a lot over the past few years. Every time I come, I'm a little bit more satisfied. They reorganized the checkout which seems to have reduced the time to check out, though I still do everything I can to avoid being here at peak times. They still have trouble with stocking, especially at peak times (weekends, especially Sunday), especially with fresh produce. I generally don't buy soft produce here because it's often bruised or mouldy. The online ordering from this place is slick. The stocking issues remains the same but I'm usually happy with whatever substitutions get made, and the delivery fee is very reasonable. The pharmacy is also quite good here. Well-stocked and helpful even if you don't have an appointment.
It’s a nice place to shop, but was disappointed my cake was marked chocolate and was vanilla when we cut into it. Still it’s probably the best ACME in Philadelphia.
Really awful experience. I showed up to pick up a cake that I ordered and no one was at the bakery counter for a while. No one answered the bakery phone when I called. When I asked an associate, she acted astounded that I'd ask her for assistance, saying "idk anything about that" so I asked her, "okay, can you find someone who can?" she said no and walked away...? I found another associate who told me to go to the customer service desk.... and surprise, no one was at the customer service desk. I waited at the bakery counter for a while longer until a gentlemen who worked there in orange safety vest offered to help me and grab the cake for me however, he continuously checked me out and hit on me saying, "can I come to this party with you? Where is it at? Please, let me come with you." So creepy and unprofessional. I will not be returning to this store.
By far the most impressive Acme I have been to in Philly.
Went there whilse vacationing and almost missed it. Nice clean place. Had to track someone down to unlock the restrooms 🚻 and no exit signs for a first timer? Thank goodness I didn't drive off the roof of the complex. I took a chance the way I came in
Customer service is a joke. Be prepared to wait and to persuade them to help you and do not expect to be treated like a customer. The three employees that I encountered treated me like if I was asking them for a personal favor. All I wanted is to rent a RugDoctor which was finally rented to me only after I said that I felt discriminated. The Manager on duty who approached me, was like, I cannot do anything because the boss is a lady they contacted by phone.
I went in acme to buy a product which I wanted I didn’t find it so I decided to leave as I was getting late for my job. While leaving I noticed that acme has installed new gates to cross those gates and leave the store we have to scan a purchase receipt so the door opens. In my case I didn’t purchase anything so I was not able to cross the gate unless somebody comes and open it for me it’s weird to see such rules. A lady near that gate informed me that I have have a purchase receipt next time want to come out of the store. Hmm can someone explain me about this new acme rule.
They were out of alot and very expensive but the checkout lady was super nice
