Had a fantastic time touring the brewery, eating food, drinking beer, and purchasing from the gift shop on a busy Saturday night. Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. The food was spot on and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly. I recommend going just to grab a beer because the beer is the best in Pennsylvania! The gift shop was a little pricey for some items, but I bought some anyway. Also, the clerk took time, during a very busy evening, to check on sizes that were not on the floor. If you are nearby, I’d highly recommend this place.
The environment was laid back. It was pretty cool that we could see the factory through the windows of the restaurant! The menu options for food and beer were great, with such a large variety of brews to choose from. Our waiter even explained the history behind our flights! Overall, it was a great time with good people, delicious food, and savory brews!
Did the brewery tour and also hung out and had a beer and snack afterward. The tour was by far one of the best $10 I’ve spend in Philly! Our guide Mike was was excellent. He provided entertainment and we got a free sample and beer with the tour, it was an excellent bang for our buck. I’m not even a huge beer drinker and found something I enjoyed. The pretzel was an excellent bite after the tour. Will be returning!
Great place for a beer (or a few) and something to eat. Nice atmosphere, great selection of beer and very tasty food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had great recommendations on what beer to order. If you are in the neighborhood it's totally worth a visit. Nice to spend an afternoon here to try there beers
Did the tour and had a great time with Ron. Sat down after and had a flight or two 😎. The apps were amazing. Atmosphere was great and lots of good people. Happy hour is a must.
Very disappointing and disturbing experience. I visited with family and friends, including a small child, and it turned into the worst experience I have ever had in a public place. The staff was unprepared, disrespectful toward a child, and showed clear discriminatory behavior, along with extremely poor service. The situation escalated unnecessarily and was handled in a rude and unprofessional manner, creating a very uncomfortable and humiliating experience. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THERE. I strongly advise caution, especially for families. Based on this experience, customer treatment is inconsistent and can quickly become disrespectful. I hope management takes this seriously and makes significant improvements.
Decided to join the public tour at the last minute, and glad we did! It felt like a private tour for just 3 of us on a weekday. The tour started off with a can of beer (do try Level Up!) and ended with a souvenir - a beer glass! Our guide, Mike, was really humorous and patient with our questions! Thank you Hans!😁 Tour is well timed to end by 3pm, the start of their happy hour! Good opportunity to try more beers and/or cocktails. Didn’t like the wings though.
With gluten sensitivity, I was able to tolerate the various beer options. Space was great. Fries were good. Wings could have been better. We were able to seat large group of 12. Parking was free in target lot. Splitting the bill was effortless. You scan a code and select the items you ordered. Game changer. I would come back again.
Yards Brewing Company was one of the highlights of our trip. We tried the cheesesteak egg rolls, Philly Wing Phlight, fish and chips, sirloin beef chili, fries, the spring beer flight, and a Yard-a-Rita, and there honestly wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy. The cheesesteak egg rolls were delicious and disappeared way too quickly. I genuinely wish we had ordered more. The Philly Wing Phlight is a must-order because it lets you try several different sauces you might not normally choose. The Long Hot sauce was probably the most unique and hardest to describe, but it was excellent. The Caesar sauce was a surprise favorite. It tasted like a creamy Caesar dressing on wings and somehow worked incredibly well. The fish and chips were also fantastic. The fish tasted very fresh, and the batter was light, crispy, and airy without feeling greasy or heavy. The fries and sirloin beef chili were both great as well. As someone who normally doesn’t enjoy beer, I was pleasantly surprised by the spring flight. There were several options that I genuinely enjoyed, which is saying a lot. The Yard-a-Rita was also delicious, and they definitely weren’t stingy with the alcohol. The atmosphere was excellent. A baseball game was on, and it was fun seeing everyone get excited and engaged with the game. It created a lively, welcoming environment that made the experience even better. My only suggestion would be clearer parking information for first-time visitors. If there is dedicated parking, it wasn’t obvious to us, so we ended up parking on a nearby street. Overall, the food, drinks, atmosphere, and value were all outstanding. If I find myself back in Pennsylvania, I’ll absolutely be returning, and I’d happily recommend Yards Brewing Company to anyone visiting the area.
Beer is great! Food was good. I went up to the bar after waiting what seemed like a while on a not-so-busy night for table service. On the one hand I like that 20% tip is included. Tipping is ridiculous, full of inequity, and everyone should just pay the same price and get paid the same wage. But then on top of that it asks if you want to tip more. At least the server explained this up front, that was greatly appreciated. But then suddenly I feel guilty hitting 'no tip' even though I already tipped 20%. The 'peak-end rule' notes that the final part of an experience can be the most dominant in how you judge or remember an experience. After a pleasant evening, I was left with a bitter taste thanks to that end moment. EDIT: thanks for the reply. I was at a large table with more than 6 people, but bills and tabs were done per person/couple and not as one check for the entire table.
