Yummy food and good drinks. From a rural area so some of the city stuff made it not as pleasant as smaller breweries we tend to go to. Not cheap but my food was delicious and came out pretty quickly. Good service.
Yards Brewing Company is an awesome place. There's a store just inside that's got loads of to-go beers, cool clothes, and more. Inside, it's huge, you can tell just how big of a brewing operation it is. There are lots of picnic style tables to sit at, as well as the large bar. On the outside, there are high top tables (which we sat at). Tons of beer selections, including their staples, and seasonal or small batch beers. The Code Red was great, but the Extra Special Ale was the star. It's a cask pour (make sure to ask for it as a cask pour), so it's super smooth, almost like it's a nitrogen pour. There are a bunch of great food choices too. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I'll definitely be back for more!
I'm from Massachusetts and for the last 5 years, coming in and out of Philly I wanted to eat here and when I finally did, the food and the service was 10 out of 5 !!! The food and the GREATEST WAITRESS EVER, COURTNEY MADE IT SO SPECIAL!!! Thank You Yard and COURTNEY(I hope I spelled it right) for such a SPECIAL EXPERIENCE !!!!
Great brewery place near Philadelphia center, walkable distance from historical site. Great Phili cheesesteaks. They offer flights for beer tasting. Very unique brewing.
This was a delight to stop at during happy hour. The beers were awesome. Was happy to try their Pink Boots Brew for this year. The peach habanero wings were so tasty. A must stop if you are in Philadelphia.
July 7 2019 visit with p and m. Ordered hoppy, revolution and specialty flights ($8). Followed by Washington’s reserve. For appetizers ordered sesame broccoli, which was really good. The server was nice, allowed us to sample before ordering. Watched women’s final World Cup match between Netherlands and USA, good atmosphere.
I have been here several times just for beer. The food this week was really bad. They have to be flooding these with fake reviews because there is literally no way people like this food. The full size salad portion was very small, lettuce was wilted. I added on grilled chicken and that was dry and not freshly cooked (you can see from the dry hardened on seasoning that its old chicken reheated.) The kids chicken “strips” we ordered was literally a cafeteria chicken patty cut in half and was undercooked. When we complained, the server did apologize but just kept trying to rationalize that it was “cut into strips and therefore its chicken strips.”
I enjoyed my time here; my hubby and I had a Hefeweizen (it tasted amazing, for all those Hefeweizen fans out there) while we took in the atmosphere. The interior was large and spacious and had a hip industrial feel to it. I saw some of the food coming out of the kitchen and although I didn’t order any, it looked delicious. I am definitely coming back here to try the food! It’s a great place to go with a group as you will not feel cramped.
First time here and went on the tour. It was awesome and Mike was great. Funny and informative. We had a sample and beer before the tour and one during. I'm not much of an pale ale or ipa drinker but the ipa wasn't bad. I liked the pynk and the Washington reserve. The wings I ordered after the tour were bomb. The sauce was so tasty. Wish there was more meat on the wings themselves but I still liked them. The reserve was perfect after the buffalo wings.
Loved the brewery tour (8/24/19). Mike H did an awesome job. He was very informative, funny, and answered a ton of questions. We lucked into a small group so it had a private tour feel. Can't wait to go back! Don't miss the Ales of the Revolution, they are awesome and Yards pale ale is one of the best I've had.
