Great atmosphere. Found it after having dinner at The Pink Door nearby. There was a guy playing a bit of music which was nice. The place is small and quaint. The bartender is the owner. Nice enough. Cash only. There's a atm in the corner. Only two beer selections - dark or light. To be honest the beer was pretty bad, so that was a major downside. We hung out and played a game of chess but left our drinks unfinished. Would visit for the atmosphere but skip the beer.
White Horse Tavern was a really solid spot. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect from a classic English pub, and the selection of imported beers didn't disappoint... I appreciate a place that knows its niche and executes it well
quirky little bar, with quirky decorations throughout, this is the type of bar I would expect Onyx the Fortuitous to frequent. there were two beers on tap and mead, with a myriad of alcoholic beverages to imbibe on. once you get past the funk of the place, or once you get inebriated enough -the decorum might actually start to calm down and feel normal (or not). I enjoyed the dive bar vibe -but the decorations were to much for me, personally. on a side note, there is an atm machine outside of the bathroom and another one inside of the bathroom.
Fun, dark-lit English-feel pub on Post Alley. Very limited drink menu- 2 beers (from a cask), a few wines, a few cocktails, and a few scotches. Pleasant owner/bartender, homey feel. Get the feel as a tourist, I found a locals spot.
We found this to be somewhat of a last resort dive bar. Kind of dark and dingy inside with few places to sit. Don’t look for food here. You can order pizza from a third party vendor and then hope that it comes… for us, it did not. After about an hour and a half we just left. The owner did forgive us our bill with an apology but I see no reason to return.
Very relaxed environment with the best housemade Honey Mead I've found. $10 for a glass. 19% alcohol but you'd never know it. The atmosphere is similar to an old gentlemen's club (handlebar mustaches and top hats). The lighting is very dim and the room is filled with comfy antique furniture. Great for groups but I'd guess a 30 person capacity.
Hidden gem! Small and cozy bar with friendly bartender. Decoration was amazing with many details! We enjoyed it! Not many options for drinks and If you are looking for a food, not a place for you!
The coziest tavern with delicious drinks and the atmosphere!? 10/10! Love it!
It's a nice cozy place, with good Irish ambiance!! The tavern has a few whiskeys, wines and their good old pale ale and dark ale. I tried both ales and I can vouch the dark ale is one of the smoothest ales I have had. The person behind bar is sweet and friendly. Perfect places to grab a few drinks and just chat around with friends and family. PS: The place does not have a lot of seating, but quite a few rustic tables to stand at and people were moving along when we visited, did not take too long to find a place to sit.
What can ya say. This is - bar none - the coolest spot I ever drank in. Joe: thank you , Sir. Drinks, vibe, decor, people, (weirdly, the John) MUSIC (Joe’s Blues playlist) and the stories. Come to Seattle and ignore this place to your eternal detriment 😎💚
