Brought a friend here on her way to serve overseas, we loved the ambience it has that takes you to a different era. I got vibes of being a WW2 marine seeing off a buddy, Semper fidelis! Love the vintage sounds of Edith Pifa like vibes while sipping the honey Meade wine- the dandelion wine is spring in a cup. The regulars are interesting characters, a blind guy walks into a bar- it was joyous fun vibes while staying in the shadows and watching social people interact, 😎 chill and just refreshing. Owner was real cool with bouncing ideas regarding advice for those wishing to brew.
What a cool little spot with some interesting drinks on the menu! Pretty small and dark, but that was part of the vibe. Bartender was friendly.
Stumbled upon this gem late Christmas Eve. Pure magic. Lovely bartender, cozy and warm space. Walls, ceilings, filled with memories, trinkets. Felt like a night in London.
Visiting from out of town, I wanted to see what the bar scene was like here in Seattle. Stumbled upon this nice, cozy spot near Pike Place Market which I ended up visiting twice this weekend. Nice, low lit atmosphere with what looks like a lot of history put into it. It's gonna be a smaller crowd due to the spacing but you've got these nice leather couches and an outdoor patio up front to make up for it. I got to meet some interesting people and had some enjoyable conversations here with some regulars. Owner is also a great converser and gracious host. They're open until 0200 so I highly recommend taking the opportunity to visit here in your bar hopping adventures.
It may have a good atmosphere, but it's not for beer drinkers. The barman talked nonsense about the origins of the pale ale on offer, so we decided to try first it was awful. I suspect it was made from Malt liquor. FYI Kent is south east England and is famous for its hops.
THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY. Just wanted to put that out there first, because I wish I would have known that. This place was amazing. It is a quaint and cozy bar with quiet and relaxed ambiance. It was the perfect place to take a break from the busyness of the city. Seattle is relatively relaxed already, but this was just a nice little gem we stumbled upon. This place is not for everyone. But for the run of the mill intorvert or British pub lover, it's perfecto. Hit this place up! We loved their dandelion wine and their mead. Super neat place with cool people. 11/10 would reccomend.
Classic tiny whiskey bar in post alley with a small menu of whiskey, wine, and mead. Great atmosphere and service but not the place to bring a big group.
One can always count on new faces, regulars, good drinks, and being "welcomed home" by Joe and his friendly crew. Great place to unwind, relax, and chat with friends. Super cozy. A hidden gem for sure.
Great atmosphere. Won't ruin the surprise but the tavern is quite the vibe with all it's decorations. Must try their Pimms.
An OK place to go for A drink but not an English pub. They dont even serve beer in a pint glass! $10 plus mandatory 20% tip for what is likely a 330ml glass is extortionate! Not worth it.
