Loved this bar. Very intimate feel. Great spot for a night cap or to catch up with friends over board games.
If you just want a quiet place to relax, have a scotch, and admire the collection of oddities you can't go wrong here.
Single so-so house pale ale in a 10-12 OZ glass for $10 with a 20% surcharge on credit/debit transaction and no outdoor seating with alcohol. Suggest you skip this pub in favor of the Irish pub 2 doors down.
A completely wonderful small pub. Hand pumped ales, whisky, and a few mixed drinks. If you're lucky there might be a plate of free pasties. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be comfortable here. Be sure to check the hours before heading there since they're only open evenings.
The pub atmosphere was amazing. The barman was great. But the beer reminded me of 1970s beer sold in UK pubs - a little watery and tasteless. If you go, and you should, stick to spirits ... ... or tea 🙂
Fun little hole in the wall bar. Not a lot of seating, not too many drink options, but you definitely should come in and check it out. The bartender knows his stuff, and they always seem to have a really good selection of stuff waiting to be had.
Finally had a chance to hit up the White Horse after a long day's work. It's really amazing that a place around the Pike market can retain a quite, friendly atmosphere that remains pretty local, but welcoming to the occasional tourist that walks in. Everyone is friendly, the environment is relaxing, and while there's no food, the bartender is willing to call up local area joints to deliver to the bar. He's got a small but well curated selection of British Ales, which to tell you the truth offer a nice change from the IPA-dominant world surrounding it, he'll make you a Pimm's Cup, and has Irish mead in a cask. He seems to really enjoy running the bar and helping customers. I had to run to meet my wife and her coworkers for dinner at another venue, but could have definitely stayed longer. Seems like a bunch of regulars meet up here to get "ready" for Sounders games too. Cool drinks, cool people, cool vibe. Don't feel afraid if you're a tourist, the place has many locals, but without that hipster "better than you" attitude.
This place is a hidden gem. It’s been here over 3 decades and they have a simple selection of beer and whiskey. Highly recommend stumbling into the White Horse.
One of the worst bars I have been to in any city. It was hot inside despite being a little chilly outside, the menu is written with a marker on torn pieces of cardboard and is VERY limited, it's cash only, expensive, has warm drinks, beer and wine only and has every surface covered in a thick layer of dust. I actually laughed when I saw two beer choices: light and dark (it didn't even say what beers they were!). It was shockingly bad. It reminded me of Horace and Pete from Louie CK except I would rather go there.
This lil Pub is by far the best place in Seattle!! Joe is the best and has brought us back every visit to Seattle for over 10 years. If you don’t stop here for a beer, you are missing out on something great!!
