Hand written menu with just a few options. Can’t go wrong with any drink. Decor is very unique. A place where locals and regulars hang out.
The White Horse is a tiny, cozy bar where a few beers and mead are the only fare. A dimly lit bookstore/British themed pub create a setting that transports you away from the typical nightly noise. Please keep the noise down and the rowdy fair out. This is a locals haunt that deserves to be reserved for a quite night with good mead in hand.
Came here because we were downtown and wanted to get a drink while we waited for a movie. It was just my boyfriend and I in there that night which was very weird because the owner basically just sat there and listened to our conversations. Then when we were ready to leave, my boyfriend went to the bathroom (which is basically a cabinet without a real door on it) and while he was gone the owner told me to come back after our movie to play strip poker with him. This actually happened. I was thoroughly creeped out and will definitely never be back.
I used to go here, but a negative and pretentious crowed started hanging there. Told people not to come in. Place use to be cool but now it’s just lame. Sad it’s surrounded by people that want deter others from coming. Bartender is dope though
Dont come here expecting your frilly bar. There's no pop songs and you wont wont meet any girl. There's no name brand drinks and the food is bar cheese and onion. This is for homel feels and English pub vibes with a conversation with Joe the bartender over smiths songs with a glass of oatmeal Stout. There's no lights besides the lamps, and you can put your card on tab , but only cash for a quick drink. It's underground, the regulars being older men. I like it, because its quiet, unique and the friendliest bar in town because it doesn't care about being the cool bar. Its the best bar because of that.
Bartender is kind enough. Cider is what was left in a warm bottle, 12 oz glass, and cost $12. Very much a low end catering type experience. Won’t be back.
Such a gem of a spot. Nothing fancy, except for amazing homemade whiskey lemonades- a drink I never knew I was missing out on. Also the strongest drink in Seattle (Long Island) if you’re up for the challenge.
Very cozy little joint, where one could read a book over a pint or have a quiet conversation. They always have a fantastic beer selection. Make sure you get there early as seating is limited.
I visited this cozy bar on the 31st night. The decoration was amazing, and the beer and service were excellent.
Loved the atmosphere, very cozy and relaxed. Definitely try their mead and/or dandelion wine, they are phenomenal and quite strong (though you couldnt tell). Always excited to go back
