Tropicale is a charming little outdoor spot that that has some really delicious cocktails. I haven't tried too many food items - the chips and guac and 2 of their 5 taco choices. I ride my bike around the city and this is a little further out of the way for me to go, so it's more of a goal to travel miles for that Pina colada, and why I don't usually eat very many items. I need a nice cold drink to cool me off and this is one of my favorite spots to visit. Always happy to visit this bar. If you haven't been here yet, put it on your radar.
Tropicale was a really fun spot to enjoy HH with some friends. The whole piña Piña Colada felt like a bit much, but honestly it was well worth it! Super delicious and fresh. Only reason I didn’t give food 5 stars is because I didn’t personally order any. Many people I was with ordered food though and said it was very good! Don’t be too intimidated by the long line to order- it went quickly.
This place was such a nice surprise! We were in the area and not sure what to do for dinner so we started to walk. We had initially planned to go to rolling fresh, which shares a building with tropicale, but on our way to the door we saw all of these beautiful pina coladas that people were drinking. It was a hot day and we couldn't resist the temptation so we decided to go here instead. The food was great, the apps were great, and it was easily, the best pina colada I've ever had in my life. I don't know what they did differently but they have the perfect mix, but the perfect balance. We will be back for cocktails ASAP
You will not be disappointed going here! Every cocktail we tried was amazing. Thick chips fried to perfection with fresh Guacamole! Our eyes rolled in the back of our heads when we tried the Los Maduros con Carne. Their cochinita pibil is so good! Slightly upscale vibe that is worth the price!
I had the Pozole soup and a Piña Colada! Delicious! I loved the wine infused marachino cherries and the dried blood orange that came with my drink. This is a great spot with good food and drinks. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was clean, and there was plenty of outdoor seating. Can't wait to go back!
The cocktails are delicious! Everything is very tropical as suggested by the name and I have yet to try something I didn’t like. The patio is warm and dry and worth visiting no matter the season!
Good place to get some tropical drinks and enjoy some outdoor seating. They have a variety of tropical drinks from Pina coladas to margaritas. The service is good considering how busy they can get. The bartender is quick to make drinks. Overall, it is a good place to chill with friends for a drink or two.
Love this place. It gives even the most ho-hum day tropical vacation vibes. Splurge on the whole pineapple pina colada. It’s worth it. I think I may like the shrimp tacos a bit more than the fish, but they are both excellent.
My first time visiting and I was NOT disappointed. The drinks were perfect, the service was great and fast. There was a lot of people and we had some trouble finding a table which is not a bad thing or their fault. Now to the food... great shrimp tacos and OH MY goodness the ripe plantain vegetarian tostadas were so amazing. Guacamole, mushrooms, cheese, beans combined with ripe plátanos was one of the best vegetarian plates I’ve ever had. We will comeback to try their brunch, I need to try the guava French toast. The ambience is nice and they have good music.
Great vibes, good food and a top spot in the area to enjoy sunny day with a drink (esp. if you're craving a piña colada). We popped in on a sunny Friday afternoon and it was just what we were looking for. They even have a happy hour on Tuesday through Sunday from 3-6pm.
