The Tailory made my unique custom wedding suit from scratch. I had been searching for something in stores that I just could not find. Someone I know posted a suit they were wearing from The Tailory on Instagram and I booked a consultation with them the very next day. Silke really paid attention to the vision I was going for, helping me select a fabric, shape, and vibe of the suit from head to toe. When I first got the suit back, I had lost some weight and it wasn't fitting me exactly how I imagined. The staff and the tailor were all really patient with me as I came back 2-3 times to get the look and fit exactly right, basically days away from my wedding. They were absolutely going to make sure I felt good and confident in my suit for my wedding day. Looking back at pictures, the suit photographs beautifully and I felt really good in it, and that's what is most important on a day where all eyes are on you. Thank you to the whole Tailory team for creating this great piece for me. I can't wait to wear it again someday!

I found The Tailory while I was on the hunt for a custom suit. I am a firm believer that EVERYONE needs at least one good go-to suit in their closet, no matter who you are - he, she, they, and everyone else in between! Being a curvier girl that’s considered “plus size” in mainstream fashion, I was hesitant and anxious while trying to find the right place to meet my needs. Upon my first meeting with The Tailory, I was welcomed so lovingly that I actually let out a sigh of relief. The experience I had while designing my own custom suit is something I never would’ve imagined being as luxurious - but it was. The Tailory made me feel as if I was their only customer, taking the time to truly get to know me and what I was looking for. They spent time doing my measurements, explaining patterns, colors, and textures to me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. They even explained to me how my choices could make my suit a more timeless piece or a fashionable *moment* or even how to make it both! I truly couldn’t have asked for a better or more enjoyable experience & I cannot wait to see my final suit! The fitting was already incredible so I can’t even imagine how much better it could get :)

The Tailory has been incredible to work with from the beginning to the end of my husband's custom wedding suit. I cannot recommend the Tailory enough. They worked with me last year to help design my custom, three-piece wedding suit. I have always felt a bit oddly shaped for off the rack pieces and the Tailory crew were very sensitive to those needs. Each fitting was a positive experience and the team answered every one of my questions and provided practical advice on formal fashion when needed. Working with the Tailory immediately made me want another suit (and a bigger closet).

When it was time to plan my wedding, I wanted an outfit that was as festive and unique as me! My vision was something Elton John might be happy to wear, and I presented the Tailory team with my idea of "glitter raining down from the sky." As a nonbinary person, I wanted to find an outfit that was formal, but not boring, and that expressed my zest for life without relying too heavily on either feminine or masculine design elements. The team did a great job hearing my wants and needs, and coming up with a timeline. With covid, my date was delayed twice and they did a great job being flexible. I love my suit and loved the process. I'd recommend The Tailory to anyone looking for a sick outfit for a special day, including fellow nonbinary and trans folks looking for something outside the box. Found The Tailory as a last minute scramble while searching Google for alterations to my wedding dress. They did not disappoint! For starters I had a dress I brought in that was very simple, but they worked with me and my vision to give it a little something extra. The final piece came out fitting perfectly. I didn't end up wearing this dress as I ended up finding another dress with more beadwork and lace 2 weeks before my wedding. I knew I could trust them to turn around quality alterations in time for my day even with the intricate fabric and design. When I came in for my fitting post alterations 3 days before my wedding it was PERFECT. They exceeded my expectations! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about their craftsmanship as well as their customer service and support leading up to my wedding. I will be coming back for any and all alterations in the future :)

I had an excellent experience with The Tailory. I designed a custom tuxedo and shirt for my wedding with them. The team was helpful, professional, and communicative from start to finish. I don't live in New York so I did two virtual fittings. After the first one I sent the pants back for some modifications. The finished tux (and silk shirt) all fit perfectly. It was amazing to see my vision come to life after trying and failing to find what I wanted elsewhere. I would definitely recommend this place!
