Recently bought the Italian floral blue dishes from the Seattle store where Charles was very informative and helpful. I ordered the 4 piece set while they were on sale and a few days later decided I wanted to add an additional 4 piece set. Charles extended the sale price to include the other set. When they were delivered 5 out of 8 bowls were broken and again Charles immediately apologized and had new bowls sent to us. The dishes are so lovely and the excellent customer service just adds to my enjoyment.
I gave 4 stars because the customer service is magnificent and they gave us a free espresso. However, they lost a star because they were out of stock of the All-Clad pans we were gonna buy. Which ended up working in our favor because while we were debating on whether or not we were gonna order in-store for delivery through Sur La Table, we saw their competitor had the same exact set for $130 cheaper with free shipping. Had Sur La Table had these pans in stock, we would have given them over $600 no questions. With prices being $130 cheaper elsewhere, of course we are gonna go that route.
The clerk is nice, but one of the cashier is rude. He didn’t look at me when he handed me the goods. I think he discriminated against Asians or people who are not good at English.
The staff here is so nice and helpful! It’s always fun to peruse and my first stop when I need new kitchen gear. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask and they might have it online or can direct you to the right nearby place.
I went in today for a new chefs knife, and had the easiest time! Charles was fantastic and helped pick out a few favorites, and let me try them there in the store. Such a great experience!
I went to Sur La Table at Pike Place Market looking for a high end set of knives (something I'd never spent money on before). I was given fantastic customer service from Charles who went out of his way to explain the ins and outs of their selection allowing me to try them out on their cutting boards with celery sticks. This was a few months ago now, but I absolutely love my knives and was so thrilled to have someone at Sur La Table take the time to help me find what I was looking for. Great shopping experience!
From the moment we walked in, Charles made this a 5 star experience. My son is a chef in the making and it was his first experience in the store. He would have bought everything if he could! The store and products are fabulous and Charles made our experience even more fabulous! Thank you
I've gone to Sur La Table a fair amount and my daughter took classes there, but won't be going back again. I bought a (I thought) nice tangine with a gift certificate, and used it to cook something the same night. Unfortunately I used it on a small open flame, which caused it to crack. I should have read the box better, but when I brought it back I told them honestly what happened and they just told me I was out of luck. Again, I get that I should have used the product better, but considering the eye-watering markups on all their products, I thought maybe they would be nicer about it.
I walked into this heaven and was warmly greeted by Joey & offered an espresso or cappuccino. While Cynthia gave this novice an excellent lesson with the Shun Cutlery(Coming back for those bad boys!), Nivek also swung by to make sure I had been offered a beverage. If you’re in the area, please stop by! It was wonderful to visit the original location. Great prices, great staff.
Mark assisted us in choosing a set of steak knives. He was kindly attentive and expertly informed. Despite our indecisive questions about the options, he subtly reassured us by simplifying the differentiations which in turn obliquely nudged us into the right selection. After he pierced through the clutter of information, he made it easy for us. We are thrilled with our purchase.
