Sur La Table

Out of state visitors here -- we loved our Minnesota Sur La Table store until it closed. So we were THRILLED to find this one at Pike Place Market while visiting Seattle. It's a great store with awesome products and service. Shout out to CHAD, who helped us decipher the espresso machine world with a wealth of information and a demo. We appreciated his expertise! Please bring back stores in Minnesota! :)

I came in with the vague idea that I wanted a table top salt dish for black lava salt. Sebastian walked me all over the store showing me different options refining the search each time I gave him feedback on what he was showing me. He eventually lead me to a Le Cruset mini cocotte which I never would have thought of, and it was on sale as a bonus. It was my first visit to any Sur La Table store, I will for sure be back. It was so nice finding a sale person who wasn't pushing me to buy something but really seemed to care about me finding what I wanted.

I absolutely love Sur La Table! I have been in Seattle for 7 years, but just recently discovered this awesome store! They have a few locations throughout the Seattle and Greater Seattle area. I absolutely love the vibe of the store. It is somewhat small, but it is very neat, clean, and tidy. The store has a very homey feel to it. The staff are very nice and provide great customer service. They answered all of my questions. We wound up purchasing a gravy boat, pasta server, ceramic knife, rainbow colored whisk, and stainless steel tongs. They are all great quality, and well made. Be warned, their prices are NOT cheap, but what you are paying for is quality over quantity. Also, it is Seattle, so things are more expensive, but Sur La Table is not your basic, but premium level of kitchenware and cookware, so you get what you pay for. I highly recommend Sur La Table for great kitchenware and cookware products!

Charles was exceptionally patient and unbelievably helpful with finding new knives. I was overwhelmed with all the options and he was great with listening to what I was looking for and my concerns about upkeep on such nice knives. Truly a joy to be around.

10/10 I came last minute to pick up a breville product that William sanoma canceled 3 days befor my moms birthday. Greeted with a smile and positivity, staff was so friendly and helped me find what I wanted efficiently. Unfortunately when I got home a hour and a half away my product was missing parts, when I called they offered to ship me the parts or stop by. I choose to just make my way back and can’t help but love the level of service I got.

Charles was soo incredibly kind, knowledgable helpful in finding and beautifully wrapping a gift - a stunning Japanese chef knife! He made me a lovely capuccino too! Highly recommend him and everyone at the Seattle location!

Had the loveliest experience today, the manager and the staff with the names of Mike & Charles were just amazing. They helped us find everything we needed and we needed quite a bit! This place was a perfect find. They also serve coffee which tasted great! Loved this place and will definitely come back :)

This place has a descrimination issue and they clearly don’t care given there are many reviews of their staff profiling customers. Walked in with my husband on February 14. We are in our 30s, I am white and my husband is Asian (mentioning this because there was another review from an interracial couple). There was an older male sales associate who was offering, completely unprompted, to try out coffee from one of the espresso machines to multiple separate people on the left and then right side of my husband and completely skipped my husband. I was in another part of the store at that point. We wouldn’t have read much into that if that’s all that happened. But then, my husband and I were standing in front of a stand with various wooden tongs, spatulas, scrapers, etc, choosing a few things to purchase and my husband was actually holding a couple of things in his hands already that he wanted to get and talking to me. At that point, that same sales person literally walked into my husband causing him to step back (no excuse me, nothing, if my husband didn’t step back they would have collided), and then that person actually stops right in between my husband and the stand with his back to my husband, picks up something and starts talking to another customer. I’m trying to describe the scene as best I can but it was probably the rudest interaction with the sales person I have ever witnessed. He simply just walked off after he was done talking. This, together with the whole coffee offering exclusion felt so deliberate. Based on other reviews too clearly this is not the first and not the last instance. We ended up putting back everything we picked up and did not buy anything because of it. To the store: Don’t waste your time responding to my review asking to email you, I won’t be putting any more time into this. Instead, spend that time actually fixing the very clear problem you have with your staff.

Had a fabulous time shopping at Sur La Table! Best products and best staff ever especially Charles and Mike who gave us incredible recommendations for some products we were in search of! Wish there was a sur la table in Tacoma! But will come back to Seattle to shop at this amazing store!!!

My husband and I dropped by Sur La Table at the market this morning. I'm very happy to have emerged with something I've been wanting for a long time. I was first greeted by Chad, who showed me various Dutch oven options, with lots of information. Then Mike found me wandering and helped me make the choice of a perfect Sur La Table sauce pan that will be just the right size and weight for my use. These two salesmen could not have been more helpful and personable. They made our visit enjoyable. Thank you Chad and Mike!!
