We're very happy with Sunpath! A solar project is complex, and not everything always goes exactly as initially planned. What matters to me is how the contractor reacts in this case, and Sunpath excelled! Our project had 3 arrays installed on 2 separate roofs, and had the electrical panel replaced at the same time. From signing to turning on, it took 47 days. There were two hickups on the way, which Sunpath had to work around. First, the connection to the electrical panel could not be done as planned (had to do line side tap vs. through breakers on the load side), so the permit had to be updated and re-approved. This coincided with a weeklong shutdown of the permitting office due to software upgrades, so we had some delay there. The second issue was that the contractor replacing the electrical panel made some mistakes, and hence we didn't pass the inspection. Sunpath reacted lightning fast - failed inspection Monday, contractors were out again Wednesday, passed 2nd inspection Thursday. Sunpath is a smaller company, you deal with the owners directly - a great plus. I couldn't be happier with them and would absolutely go with them again. They were also the only company that actually came out and did measurements on our roof, everybody else just used satellite images. Sunpath gives a 5 year production guarantee (if the system produces less than their estimate, they pay for the difference in power that you had to buy), plus 10 year workmanship warranty. Main steps for a solar install (all done by Sunpath for us): Design system, send plans to city Apply for net metering with PGE (I signed via docusign) City approves plans (--> permit) Sunpath installs and connects to electrical panel City inspection Once inspection is passed, PGE comes out to swap out electrical meter --> operating permit Now you can turn the system on!

When i wanted to add solar to our home I searched around, checking reddit and neighbor groups for suggestions. I learned to never even consider ION solar. I boiled down to Sunpath and Green Ridge. Sunpath was great to work with, I got a proper inspection on the first (and only necessary) visit. Got a quote that was ~10k cost less than Green Ridge. Then once all the paperwork and permits were sorted the install only took 1 day and then a few more for PGE to come certify the work. I wasn't pushed into unnecessary additions, but also wasn't discouraged from the amount of panels i wanted. I've had it a few weeks now and am eager to see how little to no bill i have come the longer spring and summer days.

Choosing the right solar installer could be a stressful process. Sunpath made it easy. Fair and reasonable pricing. Very responsive to questions. Quick and professional installation. Great communication. I'd work with them again and would recommend them to anyone interested in solar.

Excellent from start to finish. Clear, honest, easy communication: No hard sell, whole process explained in advanced, timely updates and quick to respond to questions throughout the process. All the panels installed in one day. Chet, Aaron, Maggie - the whole crew - were great to work with. Now we're just soaking up the sun!

Sunpath did a great job removing and reinstalling our solar panels so we could get our roof replaced. They were not even the company our panels were originally from. But, they had a much lower cost for doing the job for us. Thank you Sunpath!

I can easily ditto all the other positive reviews for SunPath Services, but I'm going to take a minute to add a few other things as well. Our search for a company to install a solar system on our house started with the Energy Trust of Oregon trade allies list, so I believe all the companies we contacted were high quality, trusted companies in Oregon. SunPath though, set themselves apart from the very first contact. First, they responded very quickly to my email and worked hard thereafter to get us into the State of Oregon rebate program that was due to close imminently. They were successful, saving us about $3,800 on the install! They were the only company to do that will all four others simply assuming the funding would be depleted. We would have gone ahead with the project either way because the solar savings will far exceed this amount, but nevertheless it was very helpful. We also did quite a lot of research on solar panels themselves and had settled on REC panels, and were exploring the Enphase battery backup products. Other installation companies we contacted were trying to sell us on less expensive panels, and primarily only wanted to install Tesla Powerwall batteries. SunPath was different - as far as I know all their installations use REC panels, and they didn't try to sell us on Tesla. It turns out that the configuration of our home was not going to work well with a battery system and they were honest, thorough, and creative in trying to find a solution. They worked absolutely seamlessly with the county and PGE to get approvals and the meter switch completed quickly and efficiently. And, both Chet and Maggie have been incredibly patient and helpful with our questions throughout the install and over the last couple of weeks since. Everyone else at this company was also a pleasure to work with - Kordon, Johnathan, Keven - we appreciate your professionalism. Great company!!

We can't express how easy our project was, from start to finish. Chet came out for the initial visit and really took a lot of time to explain things to us, he took his time with measurements for size and location for the system, being really thoughtful about the best setup. During the design and permitting phase, the SunPath team had great communication with us. They were also able to find additional state rebates for solar contractors that reduced our final cost, and they worked with us when PGE required that the transformer to our street be upgraded. The installation for our 28-panel/11.34kW and 20kWh battery system took about 3 days. The crew was professional, kept the job site spotless and explained everything as they went. Couldn't be happier with our experience.

The first clue that Sunpath would be a top candidate is when the owner of the company offered to come out and conduct an onsite evaluation - I did not even have to make a request. They were referred by a fiend and were one of 4 companies interviewed to design and install the PV system. They were cost effective and included my desire for a larger system into the design. The system install was scheduled and they met that date and completed the install in one day. All aspects from design, permitting and install proceeded as planned and they answered all questions in a timely manner - very pleased and will recommend highly.
