My gateway went down and needed to be replaced. The solar company that I was using for maintenance no longer has an office in the Portland area so they recommended Sunpath services to me. 1st let me say how surprised I was that they were able to quickly fit me into the schedule, I was expecting about a month's wait. Aaron Eddy was the technician assigned to the job. He came out and once he saw my new Gateway, realized he didn't have all the materials he needed for the job. He was real apologetic and got me scheduled for the very next week. Showed up next week and got right to work. Got the job down in a timely manner and then ran into an issue getting it to connect. Contacted Enphase Tech Support but had to wait for them to call him back. He stayed onsite the whole time until they got back to him and fixed the issue. I appreciated that he stayed until everything got resolved. I felt that Aaron was polite and apologetic for the delays, very professional. If I ever need service done again to my Solar, I will be coming back to Sunpath Services.

Working with Sunpath was a great experience from the beginning. We interviewed multiple solar companies before meeting with Chet from Sunpath. Even before Chet had left our home, we knew Sunpath was the one. The quality of the solar panels, the warranty, and the total cost were by far the best that we found. The process was smooth, and they communicated with us along the way. We love looking at the app and being able to see how much energy was produced on any given day. We are very happy with our choice to pursue solar and have already told several people about Sunpath!

We are so happy we discovered Sunpath for installing our solar panel system. Sunpath has been awesome from start to install to follow-up. Communication was always timely and on target. We trusted the people we worked with and were happy they were local to Portland, OR. The site visit allowed for more solar panels to give us very high efficiency!. The quality of the REC panels and the IQ8 micro inverters was an important selling point for us. We cannot recommend Sunpath highly enough!

This is a very positive review of Sunpath Solar Services, LLC. They installed a 68 panel system on the roof of a pole barn/arena for us. The panels on the roof were grouped into 7 smaller groups that are called circuits. Each circuit has a number of panels. It’s either 9 or 10 per circuit (for us). They are basically playing a puzzle game on your roof to get the most energy out of it. Each circuit is wired into a “Combiner.” The combiner puts out an AC signal that looks like what PGE sends to your house. At our place, Sunpath installed the combiner, a breaker panel and lightening protection on the metal wall on the outside of the arena. PGE’s meter is located on the south side of our home. In order to get to the meter, we had to trench down from the arena to the north side of our home (about 75 feet). Then, go into the crawlspace, for about 80 feet (through a third foundation due to an earlier remodel). And then come up and out on the meter side. On the meter side, Sunpath installed an automatic transfer switch. This electronic device is what decides if your house has power or not, and where it is coming from. If your solar panels are generating power, you get to use it in your home. If you aren’t using it, you send it to PGE, otherwise know as “the grid” and you get credit for it on your electric bill. It works kind of like a financial battery. The financial battery does do an energy dump once a year. It’s a use it or lose it scenario. That is why it is so important to appropriately size your system. Ideally, you want to generate annually very close to what you are using on a yearly basis. Sunpath worked through those calculations and sized the system based upon our annual usage. I did check all their math. The system is capable of producing around 30kW. Over a year it will produce about 102% of our energy needs. The system interfaces with our existing whole house propane based backup system which includes a 26kW Generac and 1000 gallon propane tank. Over the course of the last year, I had interviewed 6 solar installation companies. I chose Sunpath for a number of reasons. Of the 6 companies there was only 1 other that came close to Sunpath. But Sunpath had a higher BBB rating, and they demonstrated a higher degree of engineering excellence. I myself am an electronics engineer with decades of experience. I’ve managed large projects and budgets. Before, I even spoke to their sales team I had done all my calculations. I even had an equivalent circuit model of an actual solar cell sketched out. I knew what all the pieces were and what they did. I knew with a high degree of confidence what I wanted. I understood the financial model. In fact, I created my own and compared it to the one they presented. We concurred. The sales person I worked with was extremely knowledgeable and low pressure. I could tell he wasn’t going to try and talk me into anything I didn’t want. Most importantly he listened. Without charging me a dime they sent their owner out to meet me, discuss potentially doing business together, walk the property and talk technical. Their owner is not just a business person, he’s a highly skilled technical expert. And, as a course of our conversation he alerted me to a supply chain issue with one of the leading panel providers. After I met with him I brought the supply chain issue up with 2 other companies that were bidding the same job (who didn’t send out their owners) and they were unaware of the issue. They looked into it and said wow, we hadn’t heard that from our suppliers yet. So, Sunpath had a better finger on the pulse of the industry. Sunpath’s bid turned out to be the least expensive (one other bid was close enough for all intents and purposes, but Sunpath were the ones who put the time in before even getting the job). Obviously, I selected Sunpath and the experience was great. There are further details in my review at Energy Sage. The Google Review limited the number of words. I recommend you check out the Energy Sage version.

We were very happy to find SunPath as we’d wanted solar for a while but weren’t interested in the pushy door to door companies. SunPath was very professional and communicative, while not being pressuring in anyway. The entire process was handled by them smoothly while keeping us informed of each step. They did a great job with the install and we are very happy with the final product. Additionally they had one of the best prices of the companies we got quotes from. Highly recommend!

I had an absolutely stellar experience with SunPath Solar! Their crew start to finish were professional and methodical. Despite installing my system, I experienced a malfunction on one of the solar panel micro-inverters. They reached out to me to notify me and schedule a replacement with me The replacement was handled smoothly, and the technician was efficient and knowledgeable. Since then, my system has been running perfectly, and I’ve already noticed a significant reduction in my energy bills. The panels are top quality, and I’m really impressed with how well everything is performing now. Customer service throughout the process was excellent. They were proactive, kept me updated, and made sure that I was completely satisfied. Highly recommend SunPath Solar for their excellent products, quick response time, and overall excellent service!
