Our system has been up and running for 4 weeks now. It works beautifully, and the whole process from start to finish was managed well. My solar project team comprised of Nick (sales person/project designer), Neil (project manager), Marisa (project administrator) and team Roger (electrician and his assistant). Nick was very helpful in our option selection process and kept in close touch through the design phase of the project. Marisa oversaw the project schedule, helping with schedule changes at our request and making sure all the paperwork was signed and submitted. When the project began, the solar panels were installed in less than 2 days. After that, it was team Roger who spent most of the remaining project time on site as our project also involved upgrading our electrical service, installing new mast for the relocation of our electric meter and supply line to meet current building codes. I learned a lot about our system from Roger in the final phase of the project through the start up of the system. During the middle and final phase of the project, Neil coordinated with the City of Seattle to inspect the project for building code compliance, with Seattle City Light for the supply line relocation, and several SCL inspections. At the project completion meeting, Nick went through the operations and maintenance of our solar system in detail as well as all the tax credit and incentive issues. He also assured us that SolTerra is here for the long haul and will be our resource for solar questions and issues. I highly recommend SolTerra for anyone considering solar power as an alternative energy source.
Edit: Solterra seems to be a victim of spoofing and is not in habit of harrassing random people. I will leave my review here to help others... Received an unsolicited call from this company over 2000 miles away from me. Ive since blocked them after they kept calling me and they continue to call me. I've since received 11 calls. At the same time they started calling me ive been receiving Spoofed calls from the Federal Department of Energy(apparently a current scam as told by Chat GPT) those calls self terminate after a few seconds. Huge red Flag for this company IMO.
Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The office took care of the permitting process with the city and arranging for the inspections at the end, and the electricians and installers did excellent work. All questions about the process and work were carefully and fully answered. The job site was always clean and organized.
How it started. The SolTerra consultant did not come for the appointment nor did give a call! How it improved: SolTerra responded to this review. The second appointment was successful. Kevin introduced the options clearly. Will I choose them? I don't know yet. Considerations: * Pricing. SolTerra is about 10% more expensive. * Use of a lien: I don't want to assume SolTerra's business risks. Once a contract is signed both parties have obligations.
OMG! These folks are terrific! When they came out, they were very unobtrusive with their work, being sure to stay out of our way and still complete their work. They did all the installation in less than 4 days and we were up and running power back into the grid within another week! Nick Richardson was our liaison and he was awesome. Always there to answer questions the same day we asked them. Even after the install he has made himself available for any needs we might have. Nick was also spot on with helping to get rebates and discounts. I highly recommend these folks as they were accurate with their estimates and timeline. Their work crews were a pleasure to have around with discussion and explanations. All of the materials used on my house were not only made in the USA, but also made in Washington State! I cant wait for the longer, sunnier days to see how much I can put back into the grid!
Saw a guy driving in this company van going 88+ crossing over different lanes putting people lives at risk... not really a company id trust driving in my neighborhood!
From the initial meeting, through the design, installation, and final check in, Solterra’s employees have been stellar. They helped us every step of the way and are amazing. And have the best value of any of the local solar power companies. Go with Solterra.
SolTerra made the process of getting solar so easy - it really is a turn-key operation. We worked with Colin to design the system and their staff did the install in about 3 days. It took PSE a while to install the production meter, which was frustrating, but out of everyone's control. The monitoring system is easy to use and view our production levels.
It was great working with SolTerra and Specially Brain Carpenter. He was right on time for the appointments and gave all the information needed and responsive as needed. The process was seamless and they took care of all approvals from the city and made it easy for me. They installed the system very fast and done a great job. They did a pretty neat job on the solar piping. I would definitely refer them to my friends or anyone.
We flipped the switch this week on our new solar power system! SolTerra was excellent to work with, and we're very happy with our system. There were some glitches and time delays as we went along--no fault of theirs or ours, including my father dying--and they were helpful and communicative all the way. Solar power was completely new to us. From the time we asked for a quote until the project was done, we had a million questions, all answered patiently and in language we could understand. I think the responsiveness is especially admirable given that they work on whole buildings and construction projects, when we're just a little rambler in the suburbs. We don't expect to live in the area for many more years. We are not concerned with that because whatever we don't earn through energy savings, we will probably get back as equity when we sell. Feels great to run on green power!
