I really didn't believe in energy vampires until I went into the Safeway on Jefferson. If a store could actively suck the life and soul out of employees and customers simultaneously this would be the one. Every experience is overwhelming and the energy is just a collective feeling of "sad". You can just tell that the employees are treated horribly with departments overworked and understaffed. I also have been told in the past that my positive comments will not go to an employee because it would make them work less hard if they hear praise. I've also witnessed a houseless individual tackled and slammed against hot concrete over one bottle of water. This store is not the one.
This store has completely deceptive clearance pricing. They have marked up the price of this item to $8.99 (15 count kotex) in order to offer it "50%" off. The price of this item on the shelves is $4.99 and the 32 count is $7.99. Most of the clearance items have been ridiculously marked up like this. I also saw a bottle of shampoo with a marked up price of $19.99. Prices are also high but sales seem to be decent.
Refuse to hire staff for checking out and it's a hangout for the less fortune fallowing you even sometimes in the store force you to have a recept first to use the bathroom even when shop there all the time one time I asked to use the bathroom they refused so I went ahead and did my shopping as intended and an employee fallowed me around the store the whole time one that had been standing there when I was told to purchase items before I could get the code to the bathroom honestly I wouldn't shop the if it wasn't the closest store to me
Nice grocery store, best to buy sudden grocery requirements. Staff are friendly. Maintainence is good.
Everying you'd need. No hard liquor that i could see. As usual there are a few vagrant people outside but security walking around.

One of the most unfriendliest storie. Plus . When I bought a beer they want to check your ID which is fine. But the person who is to check my ID was too busy sitting down talking to her friend on top of the counter. My ID was on my stand because I need to see your ID I go straight there I said thank you and she didn't say nothing so I said thank you for her! You can tell that bad stories don't have good employees all the good employees are at the good stores!
Make sure you always check your recipes... there system constantly over charges and most people don't notice.
Some days ⭐⭐⭐⭐ when the 2 cashier's or self checkout slows down, but it feels nice once actually in this good Safeway after coming through the gauntlet of self sabotaging underHelped people left wallowing around it.
I love this store. It's conveniently located right on the NS line. The staff are super friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help you get what you need. It's a small store but surprisingly carries almost all the main stock of the larger stores. The wifi consistently works well... And they have awesome coupons that help me significantly save on a weekly basis... For example, a gallon of milk can be had 90% of the time for $1.99. Use their app, take advantage of reward points, and get your groceries in under 30 minutes. Oh and their floral section always rocks.
