This particular Publix location has phenomenal staff! Everyone is cheerful & helpful. "Mr. Publix" makes the place so fun & vibrant with such a caring heart! I believe Tony is his given name, he'd make wonderful management, if the opportunity opens up. And then there's also Corbyn, & they both strike up convos with customers to make sure they are good & try to brighten our day! These two are a HUGE asset to your already awesome team & keep your customers coming back over & over! Ive even heard the same from other customers!! That really means a lot. Even more so, I've never been a steady Publix customer, until I found this location with these "above & beyond" employees!
The worst customer service experience I have ever had at a Publix. Ordered 2 subs at 7:30pm and told that they would be ready at 8:15pm. At 8:30pm we checked in with the deli staff and were told there were still 2 tickets ahead of us and it should be 10 minutes or so and then proceeded to watch them assist other customers who came up and slowly work through tickets. At 9pm, I was asked”what I was waiting for?” And then told “oh we just ran out of bread” and I can go to customer service for a refund. I then asked to speak to the manager about the experience. I was directed to a sales associate who was chatting with the manager. When I approached and asked who I could speak to about my situation the manager stepped back and let me speak to the associate who also directed me to customer service. I then asked the gentleman in the button down shirt if he was the manager and he finally admitted yes stating he was the closing manager. I explained my frustrating situation and he never apologized once, didn’t offer any assistance and only said “That’s weird, that’s never happened before”. The only friendly, and professional team members that I do want to acknowledge was the very sweet woman at the customer service desk(whose name I forgot to get) and the kind young man Keyvon at the deli counter who had stepped in to help the 2 individuals who were clearly overwhelmed and unfortunately not very polite or friendly. The closing manager, whose name was Jason, was passive, unconcerned, and clearly does not understand how to provide anything close to customer service. It’s a shame because I always rave about the service I receive at Publix and how pleasant their teams are. Apparently that standard does not apply at the San Marco location.
Good staff and well kept but tge selection is more limited since it's a smaller store. The main problem with this location is limited parking. It shares the complex with a couple restaurants so some evenings parking is non-existent,you can drive to a different location faster than you can find parking.
Love our new Publix. The wait to build it was worth every second. Really enjoy the underground parking. The elevators from parking garage to the store entrance is a real bonus. Staff is always professional, courteous and helpful.
Always super clean, even cleaner then your average Publix. Staff extremely nice and friendly. Management definitely knows what there doing
