Hello, this is a complaint. My name is Mrs.Bethel. I am staying at the Residence Inn Upper Marlboro joint base Andrews. I have been staying at this Hotel since it open. I reserved a King Suite 1 month ago. When I come to the hotel on 26 of August, I was not given the room that I reserved, I was placed in a Handicap Room instead of the King Suite I had reserved. I have been a Member of the Marriott Rewards Program for 15 years. I spoke to Ms. Stephanie Bolton James about the problem with my reservation and room that they had given to me. She become agitate and told me That there was nothing she could do about my reservation and if I did not like it I could leave. I had no recourse but to stay in a Room that I did not pay for and was not happy with the room. I did not like the way I was treated by a Marriott Employee. I hope once you read this I hope you will speak to your employees about their POOR customer service. Feel free to contact me with any question or concerns. Thanking you in advance.
My recent experience with a Marriott Vacation Club sales presentation was deeply unsettling due to the unprofessional conduct of one of the company's representatives. During the presentation, it came to light that this particular representative named Brian Rappel had made a racist comment during a previous event, leaving me deeply concerned about the company's standards of professionalism. In a shocking and entirely inappropriate incident, the sales representative recounted a past presentation where an Iraqi couple had been in attendance. Instead of conducting the presentation with the respect and inclusivity that should be expected, he made a highly offensive joke by asking the couple if they were terrorists. This kind of remark has no place in any professional setting and is completely unacceptable. This incident not only tainted the overall presentation but also left me with serious reservations about the Marriott's commitment to professionalism and customer respect. Such behavior is not only harmful but also damaging to the company's reputation. I'm a Gold Elite member of Marriott and I strictly stay at their hotels; however, this incident has me questioning my loyalty to the Marriott brand. Walking into the time share presentation, my wife and I were considering buying into the Marriot Vacation Club; however, the employees racists comments entirely changed that. It has me even questioning whether I would continue to provide my business to the company. I believe it is of utmost importance that the time Marriott takes swift and decisive action to address this issue. Proper training and education for all representatives are essential to ensure that such offensive incidents do not occur in the future. Every customer, regardless of their background, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect during any company presentation. It is my hope that this incident serves as a catalyst for change within the organization to prevent such situations from happening again.
For some reason I can not get my refund. It's only 138.75.
Don’t book Marriott hotels!! I got badly insulted and threatened by an Marriott Hotel employee. I called the hotel… they don’t care. I called Marriott Customer Service… they don’t care. I contacted Marriott corporate. Guess what: They don’t care. I even sent two emails to the CEO. He doesn’t even answer. Marriott rather loses an entire company booking hundreds, if not thousands of hotel nights a year, instead of fixing a blatantly obvious problem in their company. Hiding problems is more important to Marriott than serving their paying customers. So, unless Marriott is seriously changing their way on how to treat customers, my company won’t book any Marriott hotels anymore. There are enough other (and better) hotel chains on the market.
My last stay with the Marriot in Flint Michigan Leblanc was a nightmare. The hotel smell of marijuana throughout the entire hotel. The hotel was so nasty you be afraid to sit or sleep on the furniture. Stink bugs were hanging on the curtains in the room. The elevator was just dirty and nasty with food, dust and dirt. Someone from the corporate office needs too visit this hotel. Review it for yourself. Just horrible!!!!
This is a review (read: complaint about the Marriott Store). I ordered a mattress and linens from the store weeks ago. I received the linens right away, but the mattress has become a huge headache. They ship or drop ship from the mattress manufacturer to a logistics company called XPO logistics (BTW, they rate a D- on BBB. Why my beloved Marriott would use a company rated a D- is beyond my understanding. Can you imagine a Marriot restaurant or hotel rated a D-? It would be crazy). XPO has now promised delivery to me six times - yes six and they have yet to deliver a mattress. They did show up once, but were an hour early - evidenced by my home security system, and promptly left, and missed me by 15 minutes. Marriott has now reported to me that the Mattress is actually lost and they have to re-order. I, or one of my adult children, has had to be at the house for a 6 hour window 6 times now. Marriott support has been good through the process, although I don't think they should refer me to a delivery service to solve my issue of non-delivery. This is a Marriott product that I bought from Marriott, and it is really not my problem to work out the delivery issues with the logistics company. The front desk staff would never ask me to complain directly to the house keeping staff if there was a problem in your room, they would just handle it. Anyway, if you live in N. VA, or MD or DC, I would recommend not purchasing a mattress through Marriott - you have been warned.
Marriott PHL Airport Beyond unprofessionalism!!! Friday, July 8, 2022, @12:23 PM My family and I arrived at Marriott PHL. We had just arrived from an extremely long flight, pushing big luggage, and we were asked to come back after 2 hours, regardless to our Marriott membership level. The treatment I received was unprofessional, there was a lack of communication skills, and the unprofessional receptionist refused to check us in. At 12:37 PM, The unprofessional receptionist left; I was met with a decent receptionist; she welcomed me and thanked me for being a platinum member, then provided us with various options and an upgrade.
For several years, I have received numerous phone calls from Marriott International trying to get my business. In order to opt out of being called, they recommend to press "2" to be placed on the Do Not Call list. But that has not been working. Recently, it has gotten to the point that I receive 1-2 calls per day, so finally I made the decision to take the call and speak with the representative. Yesterday, that person hung up on me. Today, I took another call and began by asking the representative that they please not hang up on me and the person immediately hung up. I am so frustrated that I decided to post a google review. Something needs to be done to stop this madness. I don't know exactly what to do, but I figured this might be a good first step in getting someone's attention at corporate. Please note that I have enjoyed staying at Marriott hotels over the years. This in no way is a reflection on the quality of my stays. But the marketing department has clearly upset me. Sincerely, John
Worst Manager Ever: Sonia Soto Destroys Hospitality and Customer Satisfaction at Le Méridien Ra Beach Hotel & Spa Sonia Soto’s unprofessional behavior and hostile treatment of guests have turned what should have been a relaxing vacation into a stressful ordeal. Her actions are completely unacceptable for a five-star hotel and have significantly tarnished the reputation of the establishment.
If you have to cancel your hotel and it's under 24 hours they will charge you the full amount or "No Show" fee, however it will not count as a stay or points on your rewards so in essence they take your money but don't give you points for at least being loyal to the brand. It seems they want to punish the traveler for cancelling rather than thank them for being a loyal client. I get the the whole charge because of revenue loss if they didn't but not giving points for booking and loyalty seems a little one sided to me. Marriott isn't the only brand that does this but they were the only one I thought was more "progressive" and customer-centric...I was mistaken. Will I stay at another Marriott...probably but it won't be my first pick anymore.
