Marriott PHL Airport Beyond unprofessionalism!!! Friday, July 8, 2022, @12:23 PM My family and I arrived at Marriott PHL. We had just arrived from an extremely long flight, pushing big luggage, and we were asked to come back after 2 hours, regardless to our Marriott membership level. The treatment I received was unprofessional, there was a lack of communication skills, and the unprofessional receptionist refused to check us in. At 12:37 PM, The unprofessional receptionist left; I was met with a decent receptionist; she welcomed me and thanked me for being a platinum member, then provided us with various options and an upgrade.
For several years, I have received numerous phone calls from Marriott International trying to get my business. In order to opt out of being called, they recommend to press "2" to be placed on the Do Not Call list. But that has not been working. Recently, it has gotten to the point that I receive 1-2 calls per day, so finally I made the decision to take the call and speak with the representative. Yesterday, that person hung up on me. Today, I took another call and began by asking the representative that they please not hang up on me and the person immediately hung up. I am so frustrated that I decided to post a google review. Something needs to be done to stop this madness. I don't know exactly what to do, but I figured this might be a good first step in getting someone's attention at corporate. Please note that I have enjoyed staying at Marriott hotels over the years. This in no way is a reflection on the quality of my stays. But the marketing department has clearly upset me. Sincerely, John
Worst Manager Ever: Sonia Soto Destroys Hospitality and Customer Satisfaction at Le Méridien Ra Beach Hotel & Spa Sonia Soto’s unprofessional behavior and hostile treatment of guests have turned what should have been a relaxing vacation into a stressful ordeal. Her actions are completely unacceptable for a five-star hotel and have significantly tarnished the reputation of the establishment.
If you have to cancel your hotel and it's under 24 hours they will charge you the full amount or "No Show" fee, however it will not count as a stay or points on your rewards so in essence they take your money but don't give you points for at least being loyal to the brand. It seems they want to punish the traveler for cancelling rather than thank them for being a loyal client. I get the the whole charge because of revenue loss if they didn't but not giving points for booking and loyalty seems a little one sided to me. Marriott isn't the only brand that does this but they were the only one I thought was more "progressive" and customer-centric...I was mistaken. Will I stay at another Marriott...probably but it won't be my first pick anymore.
father was robbed in the parking lot Christmas night. Called the police, got a case number and then called the front desk for guidance. The lady answered the phone and I told her what happen and asked what needed to be done with the case number and she cut me off very quickly told me there was ZERO surveillance and if I would have read the signs in the parking lot I would know that Marriott isn't liable. First of all, no one ever said anything about it being Marriott's fault or held any liability , I was simply calling to see if there was anything further they could provide. Since he is a preferred Marriott rewards member I thought they'd be a little more helpful. Instead all i got was a nasty attitude and hung up on. I tried to call back to speak with the manager and was immediately hung up on before even saying hello SIX TIMES. Thanks Marriott. Much appreciated. In the meantime, we will likely be canceling the Marriott rewards credit card.
HIYA! Marriott just canceled two reservations I made months ago in Syracuse NY for my son's graduation. Literally, just canceled out of the blue and there are no rooms available within hours of Syracuse (cuz its graduation of course). No one will answer my calls to discuss the matter. In fact, the Marriott rep would not even put my call through to the client relations person and then hung up on me. This is the kind of company the Marriott is apparently. Just terrible.
I have been calling Marriot Corporate for 3 weeks to discuss a terrible stay that I had in which my room was flooded and covered in mold. We were asked to stay out of our room on 2 days of the four day stay while maintenance came in to try to suction and dry some of the water. We were not given a different room and were forced to simply leave and wait elsewhere. Today I spoke with a supervisor by the name of Alexa who informed me that the finance team has reviewed the issue and found that no compensation would be given. I not only have footage and photos or them men in our room, but my 2 year old became very ill after breathing in mold. The entire situation was handled poorly. Alexa was very unprofessional and advised that there’s nothing they are going to do.
Fairfield by Marriott, Missouri City, TX I was very impressed until I received an email at 3am with a different rate amount that what was on my confirmation. They increased the charge from 109 a night to 146 a night for 2 night stay. When I went to counter to correct I was told the manager would call me when he got in. I wound up having to call and never spoke to the manager. I was told he was in meetings. The new person i spoke with stated too bad that is what you signed at the time you made the reservation. I never signed anything. He then told be sorry this is our final decision. Will never stay here again. They do not honor the confirmation prices with conf Number.
We are part of the Marriott Rewards program but after our recent stay at the SpringHill Suites/Roanoke I don’t think that will continue. Our night there was our worst hotel nightmare come true. This was supposed to be a fun and rejuvenating weekend for my family. We recently lost my mom and my 48 year old brother to Covid and we needed a short getaway to forget our troubles. So we booked an overnight stay at this hotel in Roanoke since we had never been there and planned to explore it after our visit to see our son at the VT football game. We had checked in online around 5pm but didn’t arrive until about 1:30am after the game. We were exhausted from the excitement of the day and the long car ride so we got to our room dropped our things and immediately fell asleep. Shortly thereafter we were awoken by a loud, startling sound that turned out to be the refrigerator. My husband got up to unplug it and we fell back asleep thinking the worst was over. However, when we got up the next morning we noticed the horrors of the room had just begun! The bathroom was not cleaned and there were feces in the toilet. We then looked around and realized the whole room wasn’t cleaned! There was a half dollar sized spot on the carpet that looked like blood. There was also an article of clothing that wasn’t ours lying on the table. The most disgusting and disturbing part (and I still gag when I think about it) was the linens had not been cleaned/changed and they were soiled with what had to be bodily fluids that were NOT ours…photo attached! Most hotels, restaurants and businesses are taking extraordinary precautions in this time of Covid-19 but obviously Marriott is not worrying about the well being of their loyal customers. When we checked out we demanded our money be refunded which was done immediately. However, we feel that wasn’t enough to make up for our horrible experience and other compensation is needed to regain our trust in Marriott back. The only reason I added 1 star was because the site wouldn’t let me post without it.
