Do this tour!!! So good. Brian, the tour guide, really knows his stuff. He’s very warm, welcoming, informative and entertaining. The tour itself was pleasantly surprising as I did not know much about Georgetown prior to coming. The four stops for food were SO good, especially at City Sliders. You will not be disappointed. 10/10.
Tasty and informative walking tour in Georgetown! Jacob was knowledgeable about the area and gave insight into the restaurants and the area. All four stops were delicious. We recommend to anyone who likes food with a bit of history thrown in.
Jacob was friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable! We booked this tour as a fun activity with friends over Easter weekend, and it exceeded expectations. The small group of six created a relaxed atmosphere where we could connect with each other between restaurant stops while exploring Georgetown. Jacob’s historical insights along the way added a great touch and kept the experience lively and interesting. Definitely recommend!
The Georgetown Foodie Tour was amazing!! Great food and a fun rundown of some cool Georgetown history! Ben was a great guide and kept us well hydrated in the heat!! 10/10 recommend!
We had a wonderful time on the Mangia DC Georgetown Food Tour! The food was delicious, and it was such a fun way to explore Georgetown. Lore was an excellent guide, friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. We learned about the local history and Lore made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our tour. Lauren did an excellent job giving us some interesting history of the neighborhood. She was so energetic and enthusiastic. She explained the accolades of the eating establishments and kept things moving. I would highly recommend this for a great afternoon.
Wow, what an amazing time we had on our tour. From the planning stages, Dave was extremely helpful and detail oriented. We quickly organized a private tour in Georgetown, keeping in mind food allergies for our group of 11 women. Dave was very responsive and assisted us with information about parking and navigating where to find our tour guide, Marsha. As soon as we met Marsha, we were blown away. She was fabulous! From the get go, she was engaging, friendly, and enthusiastic. She's extremely knowledgeable about the area and all of the historical and interesting stops along the tour. The restaurants were delicious and everything was set for us when we arrived at each place. Staff at the restaurants were all friendly and helpful as well! Throughout the tour, I had girls coming up to me and asking me where I found Mangia DC and what a wonderful activity; they absolutely LOVED it! We were comfortably full, interested in further exploring the area, and happy as can be. We have the Mangia DC team, especially Marsha, to thank for that! We also loved the mission of Mangia DC. They give back to those in need and bring us to restaurants with amazing stories and missions. The cherry on top! I could not say one negative thing about our experience and I am excited to recommend to others.
This was my first food tour experience, and I must say it was exceptional! The tour consisted of 4 stops of local joints that were very carefully picked to show the best of what the area offers to the residents. And the food we had exceeded all my “foodie” expectations. Dave was our tour guide. He was fun, funny and very knowledgeable of Washington DC, Georgetown and American History in general. He guided us through historical walkways of Georgetown meanwhile giving a quick historical overview of the sights. I greatly enjoyed my tour and would definitely recommend everyone to join. It’s a great way to see the town as well as try exceptional food that is often “inaccessible” for a tourist eye. Also, it was great to know that part of the money collected for the tour goes to benevolence to feed the needy. Tip: You should join the tour hungry with an expectation to potentially skip dinner.
We just wanted to thank you for making our graduation weekend so memorable! Planning our private event from the west coast was so smooth - thank you Dave & Zach. Elizabeth and Jacob were friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and did an amazing job with our large group. The food was delicious - Das Ethiopian was my personal favorite! Despite the rain, our family and friends had such a wonderful time. We will be back to book another Mangia adventure on our next trip to DC!
Great food and local history! Lore and Zach did a great job walking us around Georgetown. There was more food than I could possibly eat, but so delicious. Loved the taco place, Ethiopian place and the meat shop with the HUGE piroshkis.
