Great restaurant to have drinks and dinner. Our server, Dane, gave us great recommendations and made the experience a thousand times better! Would definitely be back here!
First time diners here, and the food/experience was top-notch. The vibe was immaculate - lots of energy, and delicious drinks. The food was exceptional - not that I didn’t have high expectations, but this was a treat. The blackened chicken sandwich with bacon aioli was delicious, and my partner ordered the ramen, which was to die for. Our server, Kim, was hilarious, accommodating, and kind. We’ll absolutely be coming back here, hopefully to hang with her!! This is on our list to make a weekly occurrence for sure.
One of the go to place in South Lake Union to catch up with friends, have a happy hour with colleagues, watch a game, grab lunch or wind down with a drink. The staff is super friendly and thorough. Love the fact that the tap is always rotating and allows folks to try out different brews. Love the cheese perogies, roti and street curry, crispy potatoes amongst the various dishes they have to offer. Street parking around the block which is easy to get. A little pricey compared to other places in the area but worth the money. Does get busier during peak hours but you'd get a table within 20 minutes at max. Highly recommended!
Maddie is fantastic! We came in towards the end of what she hinted (without complaint) was a long day for her, but you’d never know it with how cheerful, engaging, and helpful she was. She delivered our drinks and food in a timely manner and gave us great information and recommendations on the starters. She was even more than happy to let us pick her brain a bit about past experiences scuba diving! We came into Local hoping for a good time and Maddie helped elevate it to a great experience with her excellent customer service!
Our HR team visited to celebrate many accomplishments. Local was gracious to accommodate our team with a reserved table, we were given a time limit which was completely understandable, Tine and Erin proved amazing service. Very attentive, friendly and patient, when our time was up we were asked to leave the table but they were trying to accommodate us. The reservation cancelled and we were able to go back to the table. The staff were amazing, very apologetic and compensated us which was very gracious. We were just happy to have a table to stay and continue our celebrations. Lunch on a holiday was nice and quiet. The fried chicken ramen was delicious and came out really fast. My server was very attentive and kind. The music could have been a couple notches quieter.
Just wanted to say they provided great service for the large Deep Tech Week event tonight! Servers exhibited nothing but grace under pressure, they got drinks to us in a timely manner and the hors d'oeuvres were great. Big shout out especially to Erin who made sure my glass was full and gave me service with a smile ;)
Overall, a very positive experience with friendly service and very good food. Worth noting that waiting times were a bit long, definitely longer than I would have expected. This happened on both occasions I was there.
This place is 5 stars across the board. Food 10/10 I got the spicy chicken sandwich. Service 1000/10 Yen served so well i never asked for a thing and she made my day with her jokes. Atmosphere is awesome in there especially for grabbing something in SLU. Definitely recommend!
Dan is a super awesome bartender, it was my first time here and he was a really welcoming cool guy. I had several cocktails, and he made me a custom spicy cucumber marg drink that I enjoyed. Dinner was delicious too— I had the panang curry. Will be back soon!
