People here are clearly not well trained. I came to watch a game, and they didn’t even turn on the audio. That’s fine — I respect that it might not always be possible. But the problem is the way they handled it. I asked multiple times, and kept getting responses like “technical issue” or “I’ll go check,” and then… nothing ever happens. They also keep using different excuses. I’ve been here before and was told they can turn on the game audio, but this time the server said, “I’m not sure, not that I can recall.” So what are you implying — that I’m lying? The service here is honestly terrible, and the manager is very unprofessional. The only good thing is the burger. I would come back for the food, but definitely not for the vibe, not the service, and absolutely not the attitude. Management seriously needs to train their staff better.

Erin was my server on Thursday night. She recommended choices based on what we asked for; the steak sandwich was outstanding. Erin told us the Guava Margarita was the most popular - I can see why; definitely recommended! The host was lovely. All around, perfect service, food and drink. Definitely coming back to say hi to Erin and my new gang :)

Do NOT go to this bar. The manager is extremely rude to new servers. I went there once, and a very sweet server helped arrange a booth for me. But when the manager came over, she told me I couldn’t sit there and asked me to leave. I explained that the server had already seated me, and she responded: “I don’t know what she told you, but I’m the manager here, so I’m in charge.” Blaming her own staff like that in front of customers is completely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Also, DON’T come here for games — there’s no audio.

Had a good dinner at the Local Public Eatery! Chris P. & Tina were so accommodating to us and our pup - they set up the heater and brought us blankets to be seated out in the patio. The truffle cheeseburger, truffle chicken pot pie, Warm Me Up (hot spiked espresso drink), and apple cobbler were amazing! Definitely will come back next time.

My wife and I stopped in after work on a Friday for a bite and some drinks. This place seemed fun with a lively atmosphere. The host was welcoming. Pretty disappointing food for such a cool spot. My wife and I split the LOCAL burger which was under seasoned and bland. Plus the meat patties are tiny compared to the bun. The Fully Loaded Crispy Potato’s were soggy like they were sitting out for hours. The wings for $20 were underwhelming. Service was great even though it was packed.

Local Public Eatery- A Ramen That Commands a Second Thought I recently visited Local Public Eatery and was thoroughly impressed by their take on ramen—it genuinely lived up to the hype and then some. The **ramen broth** was the true star of the show. It was incredibly **rich, deeply savory, and comforting**, hitting all the right notes for a satisfying meal. The kitchen also deserves major credit for adding **charred corn**, which introduced a welcome smoky sweetness that offered an extra, unexpected layer of flavor complexity to the entire bowl. The chicken was **seasoned to perfection**—crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and the flavor profile blended seamlessly with the rich broth, making the entire combination truly delicious. In fact, the broth was so exceptional, I seriously considered pouring the leftovers into a cup to finish it! It’s the kind of meal that sticks with you: I actually **woke up the next morning thinking about that ramen.** If you are looking for complex flavors and a ramen that excels far beyond the basics, this is definitely the place to try.

Stopped by LOCAL today and Yen was our server, she was amazing!!! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations for us. My fiancé and I ordered the ramen and nachos. I would highly recommend both options, they were filling and super yummy. We enjoyed our overall experience and would definitely come back and recommend it to friends and family looking for a place to dine in SLU!

Really great place. Everything we had was flavorful, and the setting was beautiful without being pretentious. Staff were very friendly, attentive, and had a good sense of humor. We stopped in to catch some of the World Cup, and it was a good choice for that — open room, good energy, screens in the right places. I had the fully loaded crispy potatoes (such good flavor- somehow very familiar but unique at the same time. Not sure how they layered those that way so crispy!) I had a pineapple mimosa and the Calabrian Caesar, which had a nice bit of heat to it. My husband finished his burger and said, oh man, that was good. I don't love to spend a lot on meals I could make at home as good or better. This is definitely not that, and I'm a good cook. We'll be back.
