I left my most recent visit thoroughly disheartened and, frankly, appalled. Of the multiple prescriptions that were supposed to be filled, I walked out with only one—while being handed a baffling laundry list of excuses for why the others were unavailable or denied. This would be disappointing enough on its own, but it comes on the heels of a prior visit in which the nurse practitioner had the audacity to suggest that a persistent, visible skin condition I’ve been dealing with for over a year was something I had simply “imagined.” I was then laughed at. Yes—laughed at—for daring to advocate for my own health. The quality of care I’ve received during my recent visits has not just declined; it has plummeted. I have been met with indifference, dismissiveness, and an alarming lack of professionalism. My condition continues to worsen while I’m made to feel like a nuisance for seeking help. To add insult to injury, even the medications prescribed for these supposedly “imaginary” issues were not made available to me. If I had any alternative for free or affordable medical care, I would have left this facility several appointments ago. The level of neglect and disregard I’ve encountered here is beyond comprehension. I sincerely hope someone in a position of authority reads this and takes a hard look at what passes for “care” within these walls—because patients deserve better. Much better.

I received a text from Legacy saying this: “You have medication(s) with a high copay at Legacy Pharmacy Montrose. Please contact the Insurance Assistance Team.” When I arrived at the pharmacy, they told me to go to Eligibility and that they would help me there. I waited for 45 minutes. The 7 patients who were there went in, and there was never anyone at the front desk. When I was leaving, I asked someone why I had been sent there, and they answered: “You have to register downstairs” (which no one mentioned to me at all). I can’t believe there was no one assisting people on the 4th floor. And I don’t understand why they are asking me for insurance for PrEP. I have never been asked for insurance for PrEP before. This place has been very disorganized lately. I even asked for permission at work to come here, only for them to ruin my day. I didn’t even get the medication. Thanks for nothing.

I went to this clinic for a follow-up after an ER visit and unfortunately left feeling unheard and misdiagnosed. I explained all of my symptoms and medical history in detail, including severe belching, retching, abdominal spasms, and the fact that my symptoms had already been ongoing for nearly a week. Despite this, I was told it was simply gastroenteritis (stomach flu), even though stomach flu is typically much shorter in duration. I also disclosed my personal history, including alcohol consumption, because I understood that information could be medically relevant. I felt that this detail was not explored or considered thoroughly, even though further discussion of it may have supported a diagnosis more consistent with gastritis. What made the experience especially frustrating was that I came prepared with written documentation of my symptoms, timeline, history, and answers to the common questions patients are usually asked. Had the paperwork actually been reviewed carefully, it could have saved time and allowed the focus to shift toward the more serious concerns I was trying to explain. Instead, I left feeling more like a process than a patient — rushed through rather than truly listened to. After continuing to research my symptoms and monitor my condition, it became increasingly clear that gastritis may have been a more accurate explanation, especially considering the duration, my history and nature of my symptoms. I understand doctors cannot always diagnose everything immediately, but patients deserve to feel heard, taken seriously, and fully evaluated. I hope this clinic improves how carefully patient concerns and documentation are reviewed in the future.

I had a severely negative experience with this practice. In my experience, treatment here worsened my mental health, contributed to suicidal thoughts after I was prescribed medication, and had lasting effects on my ability to function and trust therapy. I did not feel that my past experiences or environment were adequately recognized or addressed, and I was encouraged to remain in a situation that I later came to understand as harmful. When I reported that the medication was making my mental health worse, including causing suicidal thoughts, the response was to adjust the dosage in a way that did not resolve the issue. The experience was destabilizing, affected my ability to maintain work and stability, and created a lasting hesitation toward seeking therapy again. After leaving this practice and taking a different approach, I was eventually able to rebuild stability, improve my mental health, and develop healthier relationships. The contrast was substantial. I also requested copies of my medical records, was told they would be provided, and never received them or clear follow-up communication. This was my personal experience, but the impact was significant enough that I think it is important to share for others considering care here.

Hello Legacy. Wake up. I had to go to your monthly Saturday NP in order to get most of my meds refilled and the basic healthcare everyone deserves. After trying in vain for weeks/months to go through appropriate channels. It was The most amazing David Greg cupit. Having grown up with his mother and some sisters he knows the working woman’s struggle. He’s Unlike anyone I have dealt with since the best ever but retired Mary Shepard. Holding a diabetic’s meds hostage is not nice folks. Nor her statins. Or allergy spray. Geez. Especially when last labs were 7 mos. ago. Thanks Greg. See you soon. You’re the only reason I haven’t gone to another provider. Blue Cross is bound to have someone.

Upstairs bathrooms are designated for both men and women without a lock / i was taking a number 2 / there was a young female next to me doing her business both of us were highly uncomfortable if that were my daughter this would be a huge problem / if this is not already against texas law it should be for obvious safety and legal reasons / who ever thought this is a good idea should be in prison!!! We the people need to stand up and be heard / this insanity needs to be stopped before it starts !!!

Dr. Mariana Smith is, without exaggeration, the kindest person I have ever met. From the very first moment, she makes you feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. She treats her patients with so much patience, warmth, and professionalism that you can tell she truly loves what she does. Not only is she excellent at her job, but her human quality is something very rare to find nowadays. I left my appointment feeling grateful to have found her

Since no one is replying to my messages on the portal. What's a good number to call my doctor. Whichever doctor that may be. I've been rescheduled so many times in the many months/years, that I dont know which is my doctor. Sad.

The lady Laura with the glasses working at the reception desk in the Laboraty at Legacy has no compassion for clients. I was here to drop off a phlegm sample at Legacy for my husband who is very sick and could not come today with me (we are both patients here and I am authorized) and she has an attitude saying they won't accept it. I did not ask her for her personal opinion. She should be reprimanded for her horrible behavior and is very rude.
