I usually don’t go for Italian restaurant but really enjoy this one
Awesome place and delicious food. This was the first place I attended for restaurant week in center city. The deal was awesome for a 3 course meal. I would highly recommend this to anyone knew to center city. The first and second floor had amazing ambience. Perfect for dinner with friends, family or a date night. I would definitely go back for more delicious Italian food.
We have brought numerous groups to Gran Caffe L'Aquila over the years. Their consistent delivery of high-quality service, authentic food, and beautiful ambiance cannot be found elsewhere. The many corporate dinners, birthdays, networking events, and bachelor(ette) parties that we have hosted at this restaurant have all raved about their experience and were eager to return again on their own. Food is delicious, with large portions, and very affordable pricing.
Love it here and bringing my friends from out of town to visit. The service is always wonderful but so is the food & coffee. Highly recommend trying whatever is the special for dinner and getting a nice affogato after.

Great little place, food was amazing, everything was fresh. We ordered Bruschetas, Carbonara, veil and pork raviolis, creme brulee and cortado (coffee) everything was absolutely delicious, the service was great! Out waiter was very kind. Would definitely recommend and will be going back
We stopped by for a late lunch on a Tuesday and had an amazing experience. Everything was on point — the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Their draft beer selection, especially the “Birra,” was a highlight. And don’t miss the gelato — the pistachio and stracciatella flavors are absolutely the best we’ve had!
This is about mail order only: I have been very disappointed by the mail order. On several occasions I have ordered items and then after the order has been placed been informed that the items are out of stock. I wouldn’t have placed the order or would have ordered different things to make the shipping cost worthwhile had I known at the time of ordering. While they do refund the items, they don’t reduce the shipping cost. It is a shame because some of the items are really quite good.
If I could rate more than 5 stars I would! Amazing all around. True authentic from scratch Italian food and restaurant down to the gelato and wait staff. Our waiter was Italian and it made the experience that much better. It seemed that most of the staff were Italian as well. The food was absolutely delicious!! The pasta is all made there from scratch and it shows. The portions are just the perfect size so that you are able to get plenty out of your meal, but also try the amazing appetizer’s and dessert without being over full. I ordered the Carbonara and it was so rich and amazing. The dish was served with a round of Italian bacon in a Parmesan gelato served on top. It was the perfect savory wow factor. My guest ordered the Agnolotti and it was so so good!! It was presented with truffle gelato on top and it was wonderful! We also ordered a cheeseboard and the gelato. The gelato was the best gelato I’ve ever had! They make it there and have award winning selections. Also ordered, wine, Bellini, beer and a espresso in our party and all of those selections did not disappoint as well. The ambiance made you feel like you were in Italy and the fast friendly staff made sure you were well taken care of. Very reasonably priced for the quality. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will be back again next time I am in town. If you’re wondering if you should go, the answer is absolutely yes!

The croissants were also delicious and fresh. Also, I tried their amazing pistachio and dark chocolate ice cream" My only suggestion would be to open the kitchen earlier than 11 am, so that customers can enjoy options like omelets or scrambled eggs. However, overall, my experience was very positive and I highly recommend this place to all coffee and pastry lovers.
