I asked for a good coffee while I was visiting my good friend in Philadelphia and here we are! Authentic Italian coffee! We sat by the bar. They offer 4 different blends. We ordered 2 double espresso and one tiramisu. This place is a must go!

Everything was great .... The food, the drinks, and the service. The car came is amazing. Little load crapped in a small space... But very good .. I would highly recommend and I would go again

it really is a little piece of Italy in Philadelphia. We had a deliciously flavory colazione ( breakfast in Italian) with croissant and frutti di bosco(berries) tiramisu, an espresso italian coffee, on a little table on the sidewalk, admiring the beauty of the city. My family and I were in heaven🤩

It was so nice, we came back twice. Discovered this gem while in a hotel around the corner for a wedding weekend. First morning we tried their signature coffee blend L’Aquila which was the best cuppa that we’ve had in awhile … and we just returned from 6 weeks in France/Spain/Morocco! Paired it with a delicious, warm prosciutto/cheese croissant 🥐 that was delicious. Next morning we came back and tried the Torino blend, which was full bodied but smooth & buttery, yum! The only reason it’s not 5 star is that we asked if the egg croissant had meat in it … since we’re veggies … got a “no” but then found bits of ham inside the scrambled egg :-/ But otherwise is was a great tasting experience. Wine selection, gelato & homemade pastries all looked fab, though we didn’t indulge. Great place for any Italian foodie!

I visited this place especially to try tiramisu. Visited this place just for desserts and coffee. Will surely visit again to try their food. Classic tiramisu was really good, my most favorite was affogato we tried it with salted Carmel gelato. We tried chocolate mousse and ricotta cheesecake. Over all the service was quick and staff was really polite and friendly. They were really sweet about me having my cat out, my cat definitely loved all the attention. I really loved the whole ambience, would love to visit this place again. Also they have loads of things to buy instore which is something I would like to explore when I am there next time.

Delicious! Was sad that the gelato freezer was broken so we didn't get to try the gelato, but the food and service was great. The waiter really went in depth into the explanation of not only the food but also the history of the cafe, how the original one in Italy was destroyed in an earthquake and it has world famous gelato. I had a couple spritzes for drinks which were great. For food, I had the buratta and bruschetta, arancini and carciofi fritti, braciole, and for dessert the cannoli. I think my favorite was definitely the buratta and cannoli. Note that the cannoli is made with sheep's milk so it definitely has that sheep/goat cheese strong aftertaste but I thought that really made it delicious! The music choice was interesting, but overall the atmosphere felt like a very cozy and cute restaurant/cafe with a little shop downstairs I'd love to check out next time! For sure will come back to try the gelato.

Definitely a little Italian embassy in central Philadelphia! Best gelato in town doubtless; Stunning service and super friendly environment; Authentic traditional Italian food with a meticulous attention to the weekly specials; The wine cellar selection is incredible and gives the chance to taste premium wines as Tignanello 2019 by the glass for a very reasonable price; As well as the signature cocktail list (the coffee-infused negroni is a hit, espresso martini likewise). Highly recommended *****

The place is legit. There is a reason people wait in line for hours to get in. Prices are very reasonable for the area and they seem to use fresh ingredients. Coffee bar staff can be a bit dismissal but our table waiter was phenomenal. Overall, great experience and will definitely be back.

Gran Caffe L’Aquila provided the perfect oasis during my hectic day of early holiday shopping. Despite my brief visit, the pasta and drink were absolutely amazing, offering a much-needed moment of relaxation. Can’t wait to return for their famous gelato! Highly recommend for a delicious solo dining experience.
