Loved the desserts! Mousse al cioccolato was my fav! Servers were very warm and friendly, appreciate their attention to detail. The gnocchi was also good. Tried an Italian soda for the first time, cinotto. Overall a fun place to explore Italian cuisine. If not a meal, definitely a must visit for their gelatos!
we live in NYC and try to eat here whenever we are in Philly. truthfully, we would actually make the trip just for this restaurant; we really love it. the food is always fresh and flavored perfectly and the gelato is amazing--pistachio out of this world. the service is attentive but not oppressive. just a great place for a delicious meal.
Very cute and stylish with a friendly waiter from Italy who helped answer our questions about the menu and was happy to give suggestions . All the food was heavenly and came pretty quickly . Don't forget the gelato and hot chocolate!
Came in and got a table for 2 right away. Our waiter, Michael, was great. Super nice and attentive. Even one of the managers came out to greet us to make sure everything was good. We ordered the arancini, spaghetti vangole, and a spicy salami sandwich. Everything was great. The pistachio gelato was bomb. The pistachio flavor is so strong and deserves the hype. Overall a great experience and great food. They also played my favorite italian song lol
This place is excellent! The food was solid and our server, I believe her name was Lisa was very kind and accommodating. Dustin was our food runner and he made great recommendations and seems like a lovely young gentleman.
Dear Gran caffe, I’d like to think my italian ancestors would be appalled by this “forkful” size of pasta. Kiddie sized portions for adult prices. Close to 30 dollars for this size portion. The only other theory is my delivery driver got hungry and ate the rest of my pasta. 🤷♀️ Next time I’ll hit up the Olive Garden. I’d like to think a place that coined the phrase, “When you're here, you're family,” would feed me more. Sincerely, Still Hungry
Delightful taste of authentic Italian in a stylish contemporary setting. Great spot for a special occasion!
I love the food here. I had a wonderful pasta that incorporated a truffle gelato. I found that to be very interesting and tasty. My server was also very attentive and kind. He struck up conversation and made sure I also had vino in my glass. Of course you need one of their gelatos for dessert.
I found this place on a whim through Postmates ..saved it bc I had just placed another order and came back to it .....I can't express the amount of appreciation I have for that decision I intended to only order desert bc like the previous night I had already placed a separate order...I ended up getting an appetizer and two desserts and cannot wait to eat my way through the whole menu! Whoever is making the food is putting their heart and soul into every plate (and that's saying something for delivery) each dish is a masterpiece by itself ...put together it's a meal like no other ....the menu is extensive and I am envisioning myself on a balmy spring day dining on their patio watching the people pass by .....I am very excited ☺️
First time went here for a date with an Italian man. He said it his fave restaurant in philly. I love the atmosphere, very modern for italian restaurant, server really attentive, food also great and I live their gelato. Will definetly come here next time.
