Not nearly enough benches or other weight equipment. But there are broken treadmills and other cardio equipment for days.
I love Onelife! I used to work there so I got to train with several of the trainers and have trained with Greg, Kristen, Britney, MacKenzie and Patrick. All of their trainers know how to kick your butt and are super encouraging. I train with Patrick three times a week and have seen serious progress in my muscle mass. This gym is the place to go for training. Parking can be tough at rush hour times. The best times to work out here are 9-10am and 2-3pm. Also late at night; its 24 hours!
I'm a personal trainer from KC orginally but live in Orange County, California and I've worked at multiple 5 star resorts for over 20 years and I absolutely love this gym from the huge open space for functional work to the great equipment and to how clean it is. This is my number go to gym when I'm home visiting my mom. Definitely recommend this gym to anyone who serious about taking their workouts to the next level
I was in Kansas City visiting and bought a day pass, the facility was awesome and was in a good location in the middle of downtown.Will gave me an great tour and was so helpful showing me where everything was. Super nice guy and very accommodating! 5 stars for Will!
I’m giving this gym 3 stars because I feel like the machines are outdated and not really my style. Even though it’s so close to me I have been going to another Genesis that suits my needs and has way more space. I think the machines need to be updated and the brand changed as they are mostly hoist and it would be better. Also the floors could be redone as they always look unclean and the visual of the gym doesn’t give me the vibe to enjoy my workout. However, I will give the the rep who signed me up 5 stars. His name was Daniel and he took the time to explain membership to me unlike the first time I signed up with genesis. Now I know all what the gym offers and where to find it. Thanks Daniel! I might do cycling classes here but as for strength training, I’ll choose another club.

I joined OneLife about a month before Genesis bought it out. This location took a strong turn down hill after. Genesis has owned the location for 6 months and the only improvement that has happened is they have paper towel holders. (That are usually empty.) The floors and mats are extremely worn and need to be replaced. I assume this is because of the increase of foot traffic because now more people have access to this gym. I still come here because I love this location. That was one of the many reasons I joined OneLife in the beginning.
#1 in worst Genesis locations. Still has one life signs/paint on the wall, Genesis corporate management clearly doesn’t care at all. Floors are in the worst condition, turf has scars all over it. Sucks that such a cool location is absolutely terrible under Genesis CORPORATE management. Staff is super nice and these are not their issues to resolve.
Start with Erwin. Personal trainer. He has helped me get back in the grove and makes sure im doing it right. I would recommend him to anyone. Helps me track my eating and my work outs with or with out him. Always a text or call away too. Above and beyond. Also speaks great Spanish. Thank you bro!! The gym..is great. Great atmosphere. Could use some love. That comes from what we pay every month. Make it feel like a 5 star gym. Im not picky though. Its clean for the most part. Lots of room. Different varieties of equipment. Great staff. Gage is awesome. Front desk is great. Just needs a refresher in some areas. Compared to other Genesis locations.
