In KC and wanted to get in a workout. Went to Onelife fitness. Immediately impressive with how clean it was. Was greeted by Tyler Gormley who was very welcoming and pleasant. Got in an awesome workout with great equipment!! I’ll definitely be back to put in some more great work!!!
-80% of the treadmills are broken -dirty bathrooms -broken hand wash sinks -leaking flooring and duct tape to fix it -aging and broken cable equipment -broken paper towel dispensers -literally haven’t even replaced the things with the old gyms name on them Rodney, pay your rent
Came in town to visit a friend and found one of the best workout spots! Front desk associates Ava and Taylor were really helpful. They walked me through the gym and didn’t hassle me to buy membership. Great open gym atmosphere! And they even have a boxing bag! Thanks Genesis Health Club!
Visited while in town on business. Great mix of equipment from free weights to machines. Lots of cardio, spacious, nice people, nice locker rooms. If I'm ever in KC again I'll be back!
This is one of the most beautiful clubs in the Genesis system and the staff and people in class were so welcoming.
Genesis P&L is the best gym when it comes to working out in the heart of downtown KC. The staff is super friendly and has recently acquired a new GM named Will! Will always makes it his mission to get to know every member that walks in the door. The gym itself is maintained very well when it comes to cleanliness. I’ve tried a few of their group fitness classes and have really enjoyed cycle, body pump, barre, and boot camp circuit. The sauna is hot! Probably the best sauna I’ve been in since relocating out here. The equipment is nice, but hoping they upgrade their spin bikes to take this gym to a new level.
Equipment stays broken for months and months at a time, just waiting for someone to get injured. There is no official way to report broken equipment. No one who works here knows what to do and just says okay I’ll tell someone and it never happens. The include bench press adjustable seat does not stay latched and only sometimes latches to the top, but is a huge safety concern. It’s insane that there’s no real way to report broken equipment when members try to help prevent someone from getting injured.
Good gym. Plenty of space and equipment. Weights were a little bit disorganized but the selection of barbells for a powerlifter was nice.
I have noticed the quality of this gym diminish ever since genesis took over. Every other machine out of order. Mats ripped up, a literal boxing punching glove used as a seat back. The wood flooring is peeling like a sunburn. To fix the water fountain they just slapped some rubber on it and there’s calcium deposits growing all around the rubber seal. Apparently the membership cancelation policy is also a run-around. Old staff is pretty much gone. One life used to be a community. It was a vibe. I’ve made many friends while there and many have left. Hope they do something about this because people have definitely started noticing.
Really great facility. Nice staff, plenty of space and equipment (at 6am, at least). Visited when in town for work and would definitely return.
