We stopped by for lunch on opening day. We’re familiar with and like their other restaurant, but Dorthy’s far exceeded any expectations we had! The atmosphere was incredible and unique with each wall offering a fresh character. The service was amazing, and our server Kyle was extremely kind and helpful during our entire visit. We ordered from the brunch menu (beignets, crab cakes, chicken and waffles, and short rib hash). Every single item was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We can’t wait to go back and try more menu items! This will be a regular spot for sure!!

REPONSE TO OWNER: every business should have service recovery plan in there business especially a restaurants for customer disappointments. What you shouldn't have is someone who claims they are a manger that are nasty to your customers who come to spend their money in your business. This is your fault for upholding a individual behavior that is rude and nasty to customers. What this young man needs to learn is conflict resolution and a proper way how to handle a service disappointments. Unfortunately these young people are really nasty and feel entitled to disrespect people and will end up costing you to eventually lose customers. Remember everybody is not going to agree with their food being served how you serve it. Be careful eating at this restaurant they do not properly handle food in a safe or sanitary manner. I ordered food to go. I told the guy Cawl I would be back in 15 minutes to get it. When I arrived back. I was given food that had been sitting for about 20 minutes uncovered in the back of a kitchen that could of been expose to rodents, flies or somebody could have put something in it. It was brought out to me with no lids or tops covering it. When I talked to the guy Cawl that called himself a manger about the problem, he was very nasty and defensive and told me that's how they serve there food. He got even nastier and said "you are the one that left and stayed gone". He then told me I could cover the food myself. I wasn't given no bag or silverware. I ask for my money back and he said he wasn't given it back to me. Minority people shouldn't support business that are nasty to us. Besides the prices are very expensive and I heard that the food is extremely salty from someone else that ate there. I wouldn't trust eating from people who don't care about how they handle food and then get a nasty attitude when they are confronted about it. The owners may want to give Cawl some customer service classes on customer service recovery and how to talk to customers. They may also want to change there policies on how they handle food.

We ordered the deviled eggs, crab cakes, voodoo balls, Cajun pasta, ribeye steak with sweet potato & creamy spinach. Deviled eggs, crab cake, & voodoo balls were good. Cajun pasta was okay but flavor is not strong or robust. Creamy spinach was very over cooked, hard, & brown. Sweet potato was good. Ribeye was disgusting. The meat was not seasoned in the least and taste spoiled. I told my waiter & they said if they entire bag of steak is not bad, there is nothing they can do & they would not refund.. they ended up making new plate. They gave mashed potatoes instead of sweet potatoes like I ordered, creamed spinach looked edible this time, & the ribeye looked okay but still had a spoiled taste, not sure if they gave me the same steak or changed it out. I order steak very often so I know what bad steak is. They charged me for the steak and I threw it away as soon as I walked out the door. The service was good. The atmosphere is very beautiful but I would never eat here again nor recommend the place. The price says quality but the food doesn't.

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could have seen more of the inside. We made a reservation but I didn't realize we were going to be seated in the courtyard. The courtyard is beautiful, but a little too warm for comfort. We moved to a table right in front of a fan which made it more pleasant. Every single member of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had the crab cake appetizer, salmon, short ribs, and beignets. The crab cakes and salmon were good, but not much different from what you would get anywhere else. I loved the short rib and the beignets were amazing with the chocolate sauce. I will definitely go back, but when I make the reservation I will specify that I want to be seated inside.

Drinks are 3oz pour for about $13 - $15. Presentation was good and ambiance was amazing. Chicken on the chicken and grits was pretty greasy. Steak was salty as well as the grits were pretty salty.

The chicken and waffles were absolutely delicious — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. While the food took a bit longer than expected to arrive, the wait was somewhat offset by the warm service and cozy ambiance. Unfortunately, they were out of poached eggs, which was a bit disappointing. As for the steak and eggs, the taste was decent, but the plating could definitely use some refinement. Overall, the decor and atmosphere were inviting, and the staff made the experience pleasant despite the hiccups.

Five big stars for this new spot downtown. The atmosphere has a fancy, speakeasy vibe. Service was exceptional. The food, saving the best for last. Oh my goodness!! So good. One small tweak on the gravy for the poutine, it was a bit salty though everything else was amazingly delicious. Shrimp and grits is my favorite dish and they did amazing things with it. Check out their happy hour for drinks and apps to get a great sampling of dishes. Looking forward to a lunch menu, hopefully coming soon!! Can’t recommend this place enough. Wish I had a second stomach.

This is now officially my favorite spot. We started with the Butter candle bread. I had the short rib and my wife had the fried chicken with gumbo. First the bread was amazing, add the butter candle and it becomes the best bread I've ever had at any restaurant. The short rib was cooked to perfection, well seasoned and on sweet potato hash. The fried chicken and gumbo was great. Just enough spice but nut too much to make it burn. Desert. Here is my only complaint, they were out of the bananas foster. That's ok I got over it with the Beignets which were delicious. Topped it all off with a press coffee that was amazing. I don't remember our servers name. I apologize for that because she deserved recognition. Our meal was more enjoyable because of her. We will be back and bring more people with us. I just want to share this place with everyone.

Visited on a Sunday before noon and walked right in. Atmosphere is nice. Service was pretty good. Food was was great. Hubby had the chimichurri steak. I had house salad which was pretty darn good for a salad. The crabcakes were great as well. Full of crab and well seasoned.

First time there! Loved the atmosphere and service was great. Server was helpful & pleasant. Had the stuffed shrimp over sweet potatoes, excellent choice. I had the salmon another great choice. Someone else had the pasta with added shrimp, very tasty and my daughter had the short ribs. They were not as tender as I would have liked as we all tasted each other’s dish. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails and we topped off the meal with the beignets! Loved those. Wish was more seafood options on the menu and deserts, but the beignets were delicious
