Clothing is always a matter of taste, but I found this place expensive and the clothing kind of dull. That said, there were a few pieces that were somewhat elegant and fashionable.
*Edit - also worth noting the security camera has visibility into the dressing room…which made me feel very uncomfortable. Friendly staff, but inefficient system. They checked their system to see if they had stock of an item but suggested I go look around for it because they weren’t sure where it was located in the store. Waited for 15 minutes in the waiting room for a different size of something only to be told they didn’t have it after all.
Tiffany sets the tone she is such a great manager and her whole team (Pablo and Jen were lovely!) definitely would come back. Great selection and so helpful as always
Of all the flagship stores in SOHO, COS customer service is always the absolute worst. Most employees don’t know anything about their product offerings, and worse, most of them are not helpful at all nor seem like they want to be there. Pretty disappointed given their online storefront is very premium. I’ve visited multiple times too, and every single time, I’ve been completely ignored in the store. No greetings at all when you enter. When you need help, it seems like you’re inconveniencing the associate. associates will actively avoid eye contact with you and walk right past you, even if you blur out that you need help. They straight up ignore you. It’s really bad. And it’s not just one person, it seems like their entire team doesn’t know how to achieve customer service. Honestly, fire the management of this store, and spend some real effort to finding good associates for this flagship store. This storefront is doing this brand no good. All negative to the point where I don’t even want to buy their clothes online because of how low-class the brand experience is in person. If the company is this negligent on customer service, how can you trust them to manufacture quality material. No attention to detail here. And browsing other reviews, looks like this exact experience has been going on for 4+ years and continues till this day. Awful.
Great selection! I was able to find the dress that i was looking for! other location stores didnt have it for display or stock. Great service by abby!! always a nice visit!!
This COS SOHO store has a sales who is RACIST !!!!!! (March 5, 2022 ,A woman in full denim outfits) I was racially abused twice in a row today during my clothes fitting in this store. I was obviously first in line in the fitting room on the third floor of this store and when it was my turn, but the denim clerk called out to me directly, and then was particularly attentive to the white woman behind me, and I explained why I had been first, and she completely ignored me and kept letting the girl behind me in, and I said once again that it should be me because I was first in line, and she still ,didn't respond. Finally the white girl justly said that I had been in front of her, and the racist denim clerk let me in. However, when I came out after trying on the clothes, she stood still and "ordered" her customer, me, to hang up the clothes on the hanger trolley, knowing that my hands were full of my clothes and my own jacket. I knew then that this was not an accident, but a real racism! I've bought clothes at COS SOHO numerous times, and almost every time I come, I buy a lot of clothes, but it's the first time I encountered such an obviously racist sales clerk, which made me distrust the brand and even frustrated for the whole day.
I am a huge fan of COS and extremely happy by the service I received at this location today. Big shout out to the sales associate who helped me find the one last dress in my size. It was on a mannequin, and now it's on me ^^
The staff here are arrogant and incredibly rude. We went into the store and were admiring their 18th century well (with ties to Alexander Hamilton and NYC’s first ‘trial of the century’), and their salesman said that the store isn’t a “tourist destination.” What a jerk. As a small business owner myself I would want customers to come in and perhaps buy something.
My favorite clothing retailer. Stylish but minimalistic. Good prices. Adding a few new pieces to your COS wardrobe keeps your look fresh. I would say 80% of my clothing comes from here.
There is always at LEAST one EXTREMELY rude person who works here. I’ve been going for years, and would go more often if I wasn’t afraid of being confronted with someone’s bad attitude and energy. Clothes are good and sizes are too. Opt for online to avoid ruining your own mood with their despicable and rude staff.
