Great spot for British pub food in the heart of downtown Phoenix. This place has excellent pasties, scotch eggs, and other items. They have a good drink selection as well. It’s dark and moody, just like a good pub should be. The service is good and a little rough around the edges. The food came out quick and was fairly priced. They have indoor and outdoor seating, a bar, and upstairs seating. The scotch egg was my favorite part. They have a fun variety of pasties including some really unique ones.

The Oogie is absolutely delicious. The red wine gravy is beefy and the balance was wonderful. The curried potatoes weren't great. But I will try something else next time. The service was quick and the server was kind and helpful. Will definitely be back!
Great food, atmosphere and server. They have a lot of food options that are “out of stock/unavailable “ though. Came with my mom and brother for dinner. The food is amazing. I got the Guinness stew!! Drink manglorian was good too
Stopped here randomly for the first time curious because I was walking around and it was one of the first restaurants I came across. Ordered wings which were coked well and had a good flavor profile. Ordered a pastry which was found to have loose leaf paper cooked to it (assuming it has to do with their labeling process). After informing the server, we moved forward with just a replacement. It was then told to me they were out of stock of that specific menu item and that an order of another item would be compensated. So I found another item to order. The manager, who informed the server the item would be compensated, would then not compensate the item come cash out time. Obviously not the servers fault as she did express dismay and worked to provide a discount on the meal. Ridiculous to state something to be and not to follow through. I for sure didn’t cook the item with an inedible component. I also would not have stuck around as I did if informed initially of ‘oh well’ and would have been content to move on my merry way. Communication and follow through are key components of good customer service. Won’t be returning as a result. 🙄
Fell so lucky we found this gem! Started off with the meatballs, wings and scotch egg which were all three amazing! Followed up with a Royal Pasty which was killer. Then finished with an apple something desert and a banana something desert which were both insane! Service was great and really liked our waitress who was super helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere I liked every bit of it. Five out of five hands down!
A tradition speak easy style pub, with amazing pastries. Really great atmosphere here. Upstairs seems like an old speak easy, very dark atmosphere with soft lights. The restaurant smells of freshly cooked spices and flavors used in their delicious pastries. Free darts and pool while dining and drinking, which is just unheard of anymore. The portions are generous and the flavors are delicious. Lots of variety in the beer selection. We had the spicy chicken and peppered steak pastries and both were awesome! Highly recommend checking out this spot if you are downtown.

Great atmosphere, really cool place! Was sort of disappointed though when I went for dinner on a Wednesday night, they were out of half of the menu. It wasn’t totally updated on the live menu in restaurant either, so it took a while at ordering to figure out what was in stock and available. As a vegetarian this limited my options quite a bit. The tomato soup was delicious. Just sort of a let down, hope they are more prepared on weekends for people.
My first visit to the Downtown Phoenix iteration of Cornish Pasty Company - Tempe locations have been prior experiences of mine for more years than I care to mention (close to 20?). That said, I was in the area for somewhat of an extended lunch break and I selected CPC. Sat at the bar. Not very busy all around, which I have experienced lately in DT PHX; how are these high-rent establishments staying in business to open for lunch when there's hardly anyone to serve at noon on a September Thursday?! Service was very quick and attentive as necessary. I ordered the "Green Chile Bacon Cheeseburger" and it was good. Crust: crispy and flaky, but strong enough to hold in the ingredients. Green chile was on the mild side - that's my only wish here; not everyone can Hatch, NM or Los Dos every meal, but personally, I'd like for it to be! Ranch for dipping, which I did about twice per half. I bet this place is fun on weekend nights!
