Capella University

I am thoroughly pleased with Capella University (online) and their staff. I will be graduating next year with my Bachelors in Business Administration. I have attended Capella for almost 2 years and during my time I have only had 2 issues that were resolved in no time at all. I would recommend Capella to anyone that does not prefer a traditional classroom/lecture setting.

Heading into the final push towards her capstone project with only 2 classes remaining, due to difficulties through poor communication and lack of effective availability of resources, my family member has been forced to prolong her program costing more money not budgeted for. Having passed all classes and their respective assignments, she was given failing grades on the most recent assignments where one was found misunderstood and the other still under "investigation". Because of the one failure ultimately revoked and passed as "on point", and while still waiting for the most recent assignment, the final 2 classes will need to be dropped, and an additional semester forced, thus costing another financial hit. Because the instructor wasn't readily available for guidance and the "coach" ineffective, rather than preparing for the final project to end a successfully handled program, her plans have been deterred with both finances and time. Very unfortunate.

This is my second master's degree, and Capella University has been amazing. The university offers scholarships to the students, and this was not offered at my previous online university. The professors are very responsive to the student's needs. They are available during the week in the online classroom platform. Capella is highly recommended in meeting one's educational goals.

Hi, I'm a Capella student, registered program RN to BSN. The classes went well, but to register for practicum classes is a nightmare, it's disaster, it's awful, it's the worst experience in your life. Try to find something else. They push everything to charge you again and again..

I am a 48 year old who never got their degree, I work full time and travel a lot for my job. I've had a goal since I was young to finish college, but life happened. When I started looking for an online school to go to, I had 2 major requirements - 1) I wanted an online school where I could attend a physical commencement ceremony and 2) I wanted a school that offered flexibility and guidance Capella met both of these requirements. I have been more than impressed with the program, professors and academic advisors. The advisors are very helpful and the professors I've had have been very good about making their expectations clear and explaining why points may have been deducted from an assignment. I can't say enough good things about Capella or their program. I'm happy to say that I will be done with classes this year and attending commencement in person!

I received my M.S. in Human Services in 2012. Staff was wonderful, helpful and supportive. I made an error in enrollment and they quickly refunded my tuition even after the deadline. The website is user friendly. Professors care about the students and the learning environment. Expectations are high and classes are fulfilling. I loved the writing intense program. I highly recommend Capella University. Worth every minute.

The good, the instructors and curriculum was outstanding. The tech support as well. The bad, good luck getting to speak to a coach or tutor. Coach never returns any form of communication I spoke to mine maybe twice in 2.5 years. Tutor takes 2 weeks to book, they will tell you they can't help you but feel free to book another time. You are mostly on your own🤦‍♀️ the ugly, the financial aid is soooo messed up I must have missed a week or more of work because I had so many issues I finally had to take time off to get them to resolve the problem. It was always something they did too. I spoke to my lenders and financial institutions. The ugly, they promised a graduation ceremony online for myself and my loved ones. I finished a 4 year degree in 2.5 with 2 honor societies. It cost me about 30 grand and I did not get informed they took away the ceremony until I went to prepare for the invitation of everyone waiting to celebrate with me. I feel robbed. I should have been put on payroll as much as I spent time with their staff fixing their issues. Just glad it is over and I can go somewhere else for future educational endeavors.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Especially avoid the FlexPath. They scam you and delay handling your practicum hours so you have to pay for another semester. Absolutely fraudulent practices. Intentionally ignoring critical emails and Docusign’s for 3-5 days at a time, making the signatures then invalid.

There's a reason this school has a 26% graduation rate - it has nothing to do with the curriculum and everything to do with the staff. They're unresponsive, the financial office simply doesn't exist and is consistently a 2+ hr wait time, the academic counselors do not reach out to their students or help them grow in any way, shape, or form. Cries of burnout go ignored and unresponsive to. If your place of employment offers Capella Univeristy under their education partnership program, RUN AWAY AND PICK ANOTHER SCHOOL. Hell, go to community College, you'll have a more worth while and valuable experience.

They lie to get you into their school. I wanted one thing which other people have got they said I couldn't get it leading me to believe it wasn't available anywhere. It was a lie. Ive asked for help.in courses none was given. The professors leave you alone to struggle. They overcharge you for classes by thousands of dollars. Ive never had so much trouble in school in all my life.
