Avis Car Rental

This was the worst car rental experience I have ever had in my life. Did not provide me the car I reserved. Charged me $50 for cleaning even though I returned the vehicle clean. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION - dishonest and deceitful people, bad business practices, gouge you with illegitimate fees and charges. Take my advice and stay away

Do not use the place . They don't care about customers. We got an email 1 hour before our pick up time that they have no cars. The solution? Go to the airport!!! They will not even guarantee a car atvthe airport. DO NOT RENT THERE. Veronica is superficially nice but does not care!! It's a shame Hilton even allows them to do business in their property

Absolutely awful, such a joke. Avis accepted our reservation and we’ve been waiting for 2 hours for a car and i will now be late to my aunt’s funeral. This is not ok or professional in any way. When i call the main number they told me that another location had other cars and to go there. So we called and the actual person on the ground said the customer service person is wrong and that “they keep doing this” and taking reservations when there are no cars. No one is communicating at this entire company. We called the “airport location” and they like not put us in touch with an actual representative. They said to wait through all the prompts to connect, we did and it hung up on us. Then i called and demanded to speak to a supervisor and they said they’d come y me and it hung up on me. Literally such a JOKE.

the women at the counter went through my phone and seen how much money i make with my employer and still refused to give me my employee discount. she went through my emails, and pictures in my phone without my consent than strarted calling other avis location to see if she violated company policy by doing so. on top of that i was given a car without a full tank and i returned it with a full take and received a $16 fuel charge after i made the man that walks around the car confirm that the tank was before i left

AVIS had my reservation weeks ahead of my scheduled pick up. They canceled my reservation when I showed up and did not offer any options such as picking up a car from the airport, leaving me stranded.

Our flight from Charlotte, NC to Ft. Myers, FL was canceled. When I called Avis to inquire about a rental, the representative suggested using the Hilton Hotel rather than the airport pick up location. No waiting in line, the car was ready, and a very pleasant Avis person to work with. No stress in a very stressful situation. Also, the drop off location in Port Charlotte, FL was much easier than going to the airport.

We reserved a small SUV at Charlotte uptpwn hilton. All they had were minivans and larger vehicle. This has become a trend with Avis/Budget. We went to exchange the vehicle in Hampton VA, per avis cusomer service and were received by one of the most rude non helpful person I have ever dealt with, plus they wouldn't honor the exchange. Went to Newport News Airport with much better results. DON"T rent from the Hampton VA avis. Go to nearby Newport News airport, solid customer service, etc.....

When we picked up the rental in downtown Charlotte we met this amazing couple that made us feel like family from the moment we walked in! They did not have the car we paid for so they upgraded us to a beautiful suv!! We were also able to drop the car at the airport which was another plus. Everything was outstanding!!!!

Ms. Veronica & her team are amazing & professional. No, you can't please everyone, but their hospitality & professionalism go a long way. I normally rent from the airport; this location was convenient at the time. It is a smaller location compared to major facilities, but it didn't stop me from moving forward. Treat others how you want to be treated. Look forward to renting again..

Have rented vehicles here for a couple of years for business travel staff is always friendly. Cars are always filthy but when you bring them back they try to charge you for cleaning vehicle. Charged us for smoking in vehicle but I don't smoke. Avoid this location if at all possible. Avis on a whole is a RIP off. I have to add this to my review. Unfortunately I found myself in a rush and needed a car quick. When I went to kiosk the manager refused to give me a car because he said I had given him a negative review on social media. My beef is not personal it is with the organization this is the most unprofessional behavior I have ever experienced. Avis losses business by having people like this in management.
