Thank you Alba Dry Cleaners! My son is with the US Coast Guard and was in town for fleet week for the 4th of July. He's been on a boat for several weeks and needed to do his laundry/have clean uniforms, but his time in port was limited and on a holiday weekend. We were able to drop his items off on Sunday morning on a holiday weekend and were promised everything would be ready in 24 hours. We came back the next day and everything was done, as promised. They took great care of his laundry and it allowed our family the chance to spend time with our son while he was in port rather than at a laundromat doing laundry. We are so thankful for the great service and care that was given!
Best dry cleaning and clothing services shop I’ve used in the city. Customer service is awesome. They have a real love for garments and treat them well. I’ve brought a verity of materials included stained suede, which they were able to clean very well without damaging. Would recommend to anyone moving to the area.
I had the best experience here. The owner is a gem. It was our wedding day and my husband needed him pants and shirt just dry cleaned and he did it for us in less than 24 hours. He also congratulated us and was so happy and gave me a coffee. I loved how welcomed I felt. I would 10/10 recommend this place. Also the place was immaculate. I feel like you could eat off the floor which was nice to see a place so clean.
Truly the best! I dropped off a dress on Wednesday to be let out, thinking it would take at least a week. TWO days later it was ready and fit PERFECTLY, like it was made for me! The dress doesn’t even look like it was touched somehow. Really exceptional work and the only tailor I will ever go to!!!
Best in the city! Still come down from UES for all my tailoring. Have been coming for years. Honest and trustworthy. Sometimes they are slammed at peak rush hour times, but give them grace if you’re trying to squeeze in then and you won’t be disappointed.
They were very nice and tailored my work skirt perfectly!!! They were very quick and efficient and I’m very excited to be able to wear my skirt now that it fits! Thank you!
This place is truly terrible. I brought my superpuff here to get it dry cleaned and they ruined it. This is a $300 jacket btw. When I originally got it back, the hood of my jacket was missing. I told them about it as soon as I found out and when I went to the shop they told me they were closed and that I needed to come back the day later. They ended up delivering it to me the next day. Well once I received the rest of my superpuff, I realized why they didn’t give it to me when I came in person and realized why they choose to deliver it. The hood of my hoodie is now damaged and has a hole in it. DO NOT GO here if you want your items to get damaged or lost. They do not care about people’s personal belongings. If you read more into these “reviews” you will see that them damaging and losing items is a common trend. They have terrible customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, it has been quite a headache dealing with them. I am currently not even in the country and they charged me another $70 so now I am down $140 as after they ruined my jacket they have not given me a refund. They lied to me and said they did but they did not and when I told them they have done nothing to fix it.
Great experience overall! My clothes were returned spotless, neatly folded, and perfectly pressed. They handled my items with care and attention to detail. The staff was friendly and professional, and everything was ready on time. Excellent quality service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this dry cleaner.
We have been customers since 2021, but unfortunately will not be returning. Despite giving this business multiple opportunities to correct ongoing issues, there has been a consistent pattern of missed pickups, missed deliveries, and lack of confirmation notifications — approximately every three to four orders. Even more concerning than the operational failures is the complete absence of accountability. Each time an error occurred, responsibility was deflected rather than acknowledged. We understand that no business is perfect and that occasional mistakes happen. What matters is taking ownership and correcting the issue moving forward. That has clearly not been the case here. Instead, we were repeatedly told that their oversights were somehow our fault. There are many reputable dry cleaners in the area that value their customers and stand behind their work. After years of trying to make this relationship work, we can confidently say this has been the most disappointing service experience we have had with a dry cleaner in over 15 years downtown. We would strongly recommend others consider alternative options.
I would actually give them a 8/5 if I could! They got a tragic pizza grease stain out of a Blueberry trench for a reasonable price. I was carrying a pizza box home far away from my coat and at one point, I looked down and all of the grease from a closed box had poured all over my trench coat. I called seven different dry cleaners. Most were unhelpful, and threw out insane prices the moment they heard Burburry. I had a shop quote me $245 as a starting point, and tell me that there were no guarantees. I walked into Alba, and the staff just said they would handle it and if they couldn’t get it out, I didn’t need to pay. They didn’t try to alarm me, or make things seem worse than they were like every other place. They kept it really simple, and asked if I was willing to give them a chance. I’m deeply appreciative of how quickly they got it out, how easy they made the process, and that they even delivered the coat back to my apartment for $45. I couldn’t recommend this place over and over again and will definitely be coming back.
