We were visiting from LA in NY for the first time. I read a ton of other reviews of other places where the turn around time for a wash and fold would be 2-3 days and that other ppl lost the persons clothes. Lumy was quick to respond to us. Very personable and professional. Great prices. Had a 1 day turn around time and texts you when it’s ready. He lent us his bag to help carry our clothes back. Highly recommend. Don’t go anywhere else.
I really wish I could give this place more than a 3 star review. I have been using this Dry Cleaner for tailoring services, so I can't negatively speak on that. My biggest issue is the fact that my pieces are never on time. I prepare in advance and give 3-4 days prior to the needed date, so I don't end up in a predicament, but even then, "ready on Monday," turns into "come back tomorrow," and it ends up being ready the day that I need it or the day before. Stressful if you have a big event you need alterations for. Do I recommend the quality of the alterations? Always. Do I vouch for a timely delivery? Absolutely not. I also see some reviews mentioning price. I feel I have been quoted fair prices, but sometimes they are random and I wonder when have I gotten a "discount," and when have I overpaid.
Highly recommend. Got a year old ink stain out of my white blazer that I had just accepted was going to be there forever. I didn’t even highlight it, Lumi found it and got it out. Had taken that blazer to many other dry cleaners and none of them got the stain out. He also pressed everything very well even one with a tough shape. He is highly responsive, even on weekends. Tough to find a good dry cleaner like this—I will be back.
I travel to Alba from Brooklyn whenever I need alterations. The staff here makes you feel so comfortable, like you've known them for years. Lumi is great at his job and I've always been very pleased with my alterations. My first time going in, I asked for a skirt to be altered. When I went to pick it up, I told Lumi that it was my second time getting the skirt altered, as I had gone somewhere else and was disappointed in the result. He was kind and refused to let me pay a second time. I've been a dedicated customer ever since. I'd highly recommend to anyone in NYC!
Read the reviews and had the experience. Definitely a reliable and good place to get things cleaned. We were here on vacation and dropped off washing which was returned in really good condition (and clean) within the day. Lumi was fun and on top of everything. Loved his jokes too!
waited nearly a month and had to make multiple visits to retrieve my clothes, only to find out that they destroyed a blazer by shortening the sleeves more than 2 inches too much (probably because of the rushed and sloppy measurements taken by the owner). do not go here unless you want your clothes ruined.

Lumi is so so nice. I brought in a dress and he put a couple buttons on for free, which you never see these days. The service is incredible and so is the people who work there !
II dropped off four designer pieces of clothing to be tailored. The owner assured me they'd be ready in two weeks. At day 30, I started calling to check in on my items and every time he'd say call back tomorrow, they'll be ready tomorrow. One time he even said he'd have them delivered to my building. At day 60, after no delivery, countless lies, and excuses, i showed up at the location. My items were never touched just crumbled in a bag for two months. One item was a dior dress worth 6k just crumbled and treated horribly. He also lost one of my items, ysl pants. I took the three pieces and would never go back. I have never experienced such bad customer service and treatment before.
Wish I could give a good review because I feel bad for the owner but it’s too risky for others. There hasn’t been a single time that I’ve gone where they haven’t messed something up- either by forgetting items, forgetting to do the alterations or sending the clothes back in a ball in a bag. Over and over this happens and I kept hoping it would stop. Currently missing a dress they charged me for alterations but I got back with the alterations not done and the dress thrown into a bag. I had to send it back and now can’t get a response. It’s too frequent. Such a shame and wish he could get it together since the work is good when it happens.
