Located in old city. Small store so it gets crowded quickly but is very busy as it serves the surrounding community
I visited this store on 9/19/25. I went right to the deli because it’s the first thing you see on the left as you walk in. There were two guys one was short one was taller an he had pink hair however, I had a shorter guy with the longer hair. He was cleaning the meat cutter an said 1 min. I said okay patiently waiting an then he started with my order. Then it went left. I asked for 2LBs of American cheese slice thin. An he responds “Damn” I didn’t say anything…I mean it’s his job so I didn’t take it personal. Then he asked “what else you want”…..that was fine to say but it’s the way he said it that was rude. What I wanted was in the back so that pissed him off even more. As he cutting my lunch meat I can see the attitude. But still I didn’t take it personal…I didn’t even know this guy but he was clearly having a bad day but I was done soon so( he also kept slamming my order down whenever he completed it) as I grab by package meat one at a time I noticed the price was wrong. So I pointed it out to him an then he snaps an the go to the back an yelled to someone something about the price. So now the other man comes over (the taller one) to calm him down an handle the problem before it got any bigger then he apologized to me for being patient an pointing out the sign that was supposed to be taken down. The he honored the price. Mental health days are important.
Pretty much every time you go here, there is food in the parking lot and in the alises waiting to be put away. It kind of explains why the meat generally smells. I bought a leg of lamb a couple of weeks ago and used it before the sell by date, which smelled rotten, and I had to throw away $45. Taking into account what I just said, looking at this photo I took this morning explains a lot. Just don't try and buy fresh meat here!
Good place for your food shopping.
Good store, but some items were in low stock and some are overpriced, like a pack of 6 cucumbers for 6$ and avocado for 2$ each. Fresh salmon didn’t look so fresh neither. But there were good deals for some items. And it is certainly the best supermarket in the nearby area.
A very tidy and organized grocery store with a decent variety of food options and extremely friendly staff who always offer their best help. Sesame bagel is 0.89, which is a good option for a time when I am a bit hungry but still 2 hours away from my next meal. Their parking lot is not huge, but definitely enough to go around with.
Market was OK. People working there didn't seem like they knew the city was known for brotherly love.
We mostly love our local Acme. It's Well stocked, great sales, mostly friendly staff. Sometimes, checkout is long as there's only one register open with a cashier. The parking lot is a great plus, but, unfortunately, it's not monitored so people park in the one handicapped spot without tags (one time, a couple parked there and went to the cvs across the street, another time, a young lady parked there to go to the gym down the street. They didn't have handicapped tags. I notice this as my MIL is disabled. People just park wherever they want on busy days and many aren't Acme customers. They should start ticketing and towing. Overall, great, beloved grocery store!
It’s a smaller store so there’s a smaller selection of food. Most of the aisles and fridges are empty. The produce was empty and what was there was old and molded. Some of the meat looked old and grey, as if it wasn’t refrigerated properly
This Acme is a hidden gem they have everything I need whenever I need something and this particular day I needed roses and a card. I found the cutest white roses I've ever seen and nice birthday card for my mother.
